....just turn around and take a look at that view.
This is something I feel is dying in games, and lately, it seems gamers don't care about actual artwork in games.
I care Bungie! It's a beautiful masterpiece of destruction. Tell your art team great job!
I check it out all the time kinda breathtaking
-
I've dreamt away at the sight of this. The rings of Saturn slowly moving past the Dreadnought. Somehow I'm trapped in this huge area, yet it reminds me of how small we guardians really are. Space itself is a beautiful thing to behold my fellow guardians

Yes, kinda puts halo to shame ha.

I have a few favorite areas myself. 10. Down by the ocean at Forgotten Shores 9. Top of the Dust Palace 8. On top of the accelerator in Archer's line, looking up at the sky 7. The area you start the game in, among all the crashed cars 6. The skyline up at Terminus 5. The area where the walker spawns in Anchor of Light 4. Looking out of the Dreadnaught 3. View out to the Reef on the Drifter 2. View of the sun on Burning Shrine 1. Exploring the Vault of Glass Just to name a few.

Destiny's skyboxes are beautiful tho
-
The area behind phogoth is a beautiful view too. I enjoy going to the first part you land on the Dreadnaught and seeing the queens ship just floating around. I use my bow down emote in memory.
-
Anyone else found the Dragons Flying around? No joke one planet has actual flying dragons in the sky if you look up at the right place. It was a interesting find considering my gt
-
I do that all the time on Venus is beautiful the game designers did a really good job
-
Awesome skyboxes are a Bungie staple, and Destiny definitely delivers.
-
The area behind the cell for the Arkon priest in the Winter's Run strike is amazing too.
-
Cathedral of Dusk has a great view too in Crucible if you can stay alive long enough to take a peek.
-
I stopped and took a gander just the other day, beautiful.
-
I'm an artist myself and I love the environments and what the artists have done. Except for the glass house helm lol My work Http://danielandrews.ca

Preach. Thanks skybox designers
-
And then turn back and sadly go material farming
-
my fav area to look at is still cosmodrome.. lol
-
People still do patrols ???
-
personally the view they made in the hellmouth on patrol is better. but the dreadnaught also looks very nice.
-
Warframe does this a lot better, in my opinion. Pretty much everything has some kind of set-pieces and awesome skybox art. Even the view from your ship (which is just like the "f*** around and mess with gear loadouts" area) are incredible. But, Destiny's best set-pieces to me are: 1. Dreadnaught's view of the asteroid field/wreckage from the space battle. 2. The derelict city on Venus, across the river. 3. The weird mountainous landscape of the moon. Especially that fissure that's venting gasses. 4. Motherf***ing Phobos.

There are some beautiful landscapes and set pieces in Destiny that scream lore and history. Unfortunately we're never able to truly experience them due to the cruel limitations in both the story and explorable world. Destiny 2 you had better fix this.

...Why do you think I STILL play this game? I spend more time just running around finding stuff that's rad to look at, so I can just sit my guardian down and stare at it than anyone really should. Sometimes I even like to go to Rumble matches just to explore and check out the maps without being a detriment to a team. I know how you feel though, I've played this game with so many little kids that be like "CAN WE HURRY THIS UP??!!! I HAVE TO GO SOON!!!!"

Honestly my favorite is past the Vex Gate Lord. Just seeing the mountain and serpents flying low and high around the cascades of trees is really cool! 5
