....just turn around and take a look at that view.

I care Bungie! It's a beautiful masterpiece of destruction. Tell your art team great job!
Jaw-dropping visuals is certainly one of Bungie's legacies. The artists at Bungie are world freakin' class.
-
I remember the first time I landed at the Moon. The visuals are mind-numbing.
-
Pweety skyboxes aren't really that impressive especially when everything else around you is pretty dull and lifeless
-
I agree. It's pretty beautiful. A bit too cartooney for my taste, but I've learned to adjust color settings to get it the way I like. Really nice lighting and I like the way reflections are done on the weapons too. Quite amazing considering the limited power on these current gen consoles. (not trashing on consoles, I mean for $400 it's pretty much impossible to get a full PC to provide the experience a PS4 or XB1 can.)
-
Ever since mid year 1, every so often i'll take a minute or two out of the game just to stare at the background and take a moment to appreciate it Though every time i do this and say "Wow...this game is actually really beautiful", my remark is usually met with an indifferent "meh" from my teammates
-
Actually do that a lot taking time to enjoy the view is pretty cool! Too often ppl concentrate on tilling people not enjoying the game.
-
it is a very pretty game and im on 360 so im missing out on the fullness of it. by 360 standards it very good especially since they had to tune down a lot for it.

Edited by WaterPiglet: 1/6/2016 7:44:12 PMNot just the dreadnaught either. I spend a lot of time looking at all the detail, the blades of grass and plants moving, the weeds growing through the concrete, the trees swaying in the wind and you look at the sky and see the clouds moving constantly changing. Only the other day when messing on the nexus mind strike, where the two minotuars are just before you go through the caves to the end, there's a little stream of crystal clear water that runs away to no where. I've never noticed it before and it didn't have to be there but i took the time to look at it and watch the water run away.

Edited by LiamCDM: 1/6/2016 7:14:20 PMI agree with this. Destiny's skyboxes are stunning from afar! But you look up close and they're 2D models.
-
I really like to look at the Hive and Fallen themes, they look amazing IMO :3
-
The world and graphics are truly amazing, every so often I patrol just to look around
-
I think other than the destroyed ketches outside the dreadnaught the most amazing scene is the memento crucible map. The sight of a ketch so low to the ground and the European streets all overgrown is really cool imo.
-
Bungie has always been good at making good looking environments, the skyboxes in Halo are outstanding as well.
-
Yeah I'll agree to that. Alot of the areas in Destiny look incredible.
-
Venus to me is the best looking environment.
-
I don't think anything can top looking past golgoroth's area for me
-
Agree. Sometimes I stop and just look for a bit. It's under appreciated.

Edited by michaeljacksen: 1/6/2016 6:00:07 PMSad thing is, we won't be able to ever see the stages, maps of this game when the servers are shut down when this game winds down. You can play PacMan, Tomb Raider, Super Mario Bros til you're an old man. But online games rely on Servers to be feeding that world. At that point, they'll even pull the plug on the forum. So you won't even be able to talk about it. It's a kinda depressing fact about online games. You'll never collect spin metal in the Cosmodrome or see Rahool smirky face.
-
It is beautiful isn't it? Everywhere you go it's one huge canvas of 'aww'.
-
I won't lie about the drops making me rage or the grind being real, but the music and detail in the art of this game keeps me coming back. It really is unique.

Hi «AKSeventeen»
-
I like the scenery on the Moon better. Just sit there on Archer's Line and watch Earth. Or point you sniper rifle over at that red dot and realize that it's Mars. And of course the gigantic space station that puts ISS to shame. How about a zero-g level exploring that thing?
-
The most beautiful place in Destiny is Earth. It shows nature taking over what humanity lost. Same with Mars. I really like those areas.
-
One thing I noticed now that the sparrows have horns... If you have a Guardian standing still, and another driving their sparrow by them honking their horn, it will do the Doppler Effect (higher pitch while coming towards you, lower while away from you). Not something Bungie had to do, but I appreciate the subtle things.
This is something I feel is dying in games, and lately, it seems gamers don't care about actual artwork in games.
Try playing Xenoblade. Scenery is actually one of the key elements in both games for a variety of reasons.
