No other Exotic literally gives you more usage from your Super. No Striker exotic increases the blast radius. No Defender Exotic increases it's duration. No Sunbreaker exotic (to my knowledge) gives you more hammers. No Voidwalker exotic gives you extra blast radius. No Stormcaller exotic gives you extra time or chaining ablilities.
Honestly, though? I think they might've done it in an attempt to make Circle of Life useful.

Imagine duration being reduced by 1/3 at the cost of blinding for ward of dawn, duration of storm trance reduced by 1/3 at the cost of having land fall enabled. It doesn't make sense that we have to lose super time because we get an extra shot (that no one even gets anyway). 8 seconds is barely long enough to get [i]three[/i] shots out successfully
