The first night me and my group played VoG without watching any step by step videos, just going in blind. After 4 hours we made it to Atheon. Didn't beat him til the next week but just the pure fist-pumping awesomeness of figuring out confluxes and figuring out the Templar and stumbling through was just so much fun.

Without watching any step-by-steps and getting to Atheon is amazing! Did you run relic?

No took me a couple runs before I stepped up to the task. I have no idea how we beat the checkpoint before Atheon. We just somehow did it and died right as the loot dropped so it gave us the checkpoint.
