Is Capitalism a Religion?
With "The Free Market" being its deity?
Sure seems like it to me. You have people against certain legislation simply because "it goes against TFM" or "it's not capitalistic" without any more reasoning behind it. The amount of fanatical devotion people have to the almighty dollar above all else kinda frightens me, to be honest.

10 RepliesFree market capitalists want to free the worlds economies because they believe free markets are morally good and socially and economically beneficial. If a religions goals are to turn the earth into god because it'll benefit everyone, then yes capitalism is a religion. So is any system or philosophy though.
