TLW is not OP. It's a close range weapon and it does its job well. From range, almost any other primary (including other hand cannons) beats it.

It's by far one of the best, if not the best gun at medium to close range. Yeah you might miss a shot, but because of its fire rate it more than makes up for missed shots.

So having a single weapon basically dominating a range is balanced? That's fair and makes sense in a loot based game?
-
It's competition. You use the best gear that's out there. Kind of how that works.
-
In a loot based game where weapons are supposed to be balanced and you shouldn't be forced to use one of a few weapons. It's it's idiotic
-
The fire rate doesn't mean shit if you can't control the recoil and aim. Plus the doctrine of passing can easily compete with TLW and close range.
-
The recoil isn't difficult to manage. Ads Maybe. But most people don't ads with it anyway

Ok so math time. Let's be realistic here. Hitting all bodyshots the last word has the same time to kill as doctrine of passing if your hitting all headshots with doctrine Now that's all bodyshots. With last words exotic perk it does double critical damage. If any of those shots is a Headshot the Ttk drops dramatically. Putting it in a league of its own
-
Lol even the devs from Bungie commented that doctrine was able to compete with TLW and I've been outgunned by doctrine plenty of times when the opponent uses it right. You said math time but you didn't give me any math...

4 body shots from last word is a kill from medium to close range (even including damage falloff) It takes 13 shots with the nechrochasm to get a kill with aggressive ballistics (all criticals) thus 13 shots for the doctrine if not more. Those 4 shots can be fired in 1s In absolute optimal condition doctrine of passing kills in about the same time. Yes it is possible to outgun last word with it. It's also possible to outgun it with kvohstov. The point being two players of equal skill it'll come down to what weapon they're using and at what distance the engagement is in. Last word will dominate at all times in the closest of ranges (unless maybe against a shotgun) and continue to dominate into medium range because it doesn't require precision just mild accuracy
