Warlords of Draenor didn't live up to its potential. I stopped at 93. :(

You know, I hear that a lot. As a new player though, I didn't have a chance to be disappointed. It's all new to me.

It's fine if you're a new player, but when you've played as long as I have and Green Jesus (AKA Thrall, AKA Chris Metzen) steals your thunder every damn time throughout the story, it gets irksome. He is always portrayed as the hero. You hear nothing about Lord Bolvar and his heroic deeds, especially considering what he's become and the sacrifice he made. He's literally hands down one of the strongest WoW characters and probably one of the most memorable of the Alliance. He took on horde raids against Stormwind with his fists alone. Not to mention his bond with the king of Stormwind. Supposedly from what I've been told he might be making a comeback in the new expansion, but I'm not sure if that is true or not. As for PvP standards, I was on Fenris and a Rank 1 PVP hunter on that server, which was hard to believe, but stats at the time showed I was. Runner up was my GM. As soon as the WoD event hit and hunters got hit hard with the nerf bat...I just couldn't deal with that. Not to mention the PvP community went downhill with the increase in botting, DDOSING, Lag 7 though that got dealt with, map exploits where FC's couldn't be hurt, and win-trading during Mists of Pandaria. :/

See, I've been playing for 3 days. I'd be living if I said I knew what [i]any[/i] of that meant. However, I do understand what it's like to see a game devolve from its former glory through new story, and the overall crumbling of a community. It's never fun. That's why I'm both glad and worried as a new player. As a new player, I get to experience everything anew, but I am also joining a game in its decline. Sad to say, I'm likely making a mistake by starting so late in the games lifespan (a whopping 11 years late) but still, whatever enjoyment I can get out of it, I will gladly take. All the same, I hope that new expansion reignites the game for the older players. And for you as well.

I may get back into it once finances are in order again, but for the moment, I'm sticking to consoles and anything on Steam like Gmod.
