It is of course another milestone, complete with an “aww”-inducing photo of Max. But this one set the Internet aflame in a way a gingerbread house never could, because this post is not really about Max at all — many see it as her billionaire father showing his hand in the vaccine debate.
Many of Zuckerberg’s 47 million-some followers saw the post as a not-so-subtle expression of support for vaccinations, the public health matter at the center of an ongoing debate on modern science and civil liberties.
“Thanks for protecting your child, and other children who can’t be vaccinated, and for supporting science!” wrote user Allison Hagood. “Adorable baby.”
(A major element of vaccine advocacy is “herd immunity,” which protects an entire community, including those who are not immune, when a critical portion of the population has been immunized.)
Another user, Elsa Sakz, countered: “Vaccine is poison for human kind. It kills more people than it helps. I wish people don’t take it as an example here.”
Thoughts, Flood?

Edited by HarlesinCharge0: 1/13/2016 6:26:09 AMEdit: I probably should have put a little more thought to writing this so let me explain. I do believe vaccines work the way they say they do. There's enough honest smart doctors who can prove that. That's fine. However we can't prove that they don't cause autism either because a, the way it causes autism hasn't yet been found or b, doctors just view it as a necessary risk and tell people it's better overall and just ignore it.

Kids in Africa could've eaten that vaccine. Shame, Mark, you selfish prick. Shame.

He probably used his stolen money for those shots
-
Tbh, if the bullshit was true, would you rather get your children autism or smallpox?

"vaccine is poison for human kind" My biology teacher came over to see what I was doing on my phone and this was the first thing she saw. Needless to say I've never seen someone laugh harder in my life.
-
The guy who began the whole "vaccines cause autism" thing. His findings were labeled completely false. Due to his "research", vaccination rates have gone down in certain parts, and as a result, epidemic rates rose.

Confused on how people think that vaccines kill their kids..
-
I think this is stupid. It's his child. He makes the decision. Vaccines are not for everyone but they do help. Yes, some vaccines have some very toxic things in it but it is the parents choice if they want to allow vaccination. If it's your opinion fine- it's mine as well. But don't yell at people about it over the Internet. Just Respect their decisions and move on.

Anti-vaxxers should be deported tbh.
-
Wait, there are actually people against vaccines? I always thought that was a joke. Lmao.

Edited by Lankee Clipper: 1/13/2016 2:19:15 PMI can empathize with this. My wife and I had our baby girl vaccinated a few months ago and my wife posted something to Facebook saying that the baby was having a rough day because the vaccinations made her legs sore at the injection sites. It wasn't intended to be a pro-vaccine statement at all. From the response, you would have thought she posted something promoting terrorism or murder. She got assailed with comments saying she is a mindless sheep, that people hoped we had fun poisoning our child, and one guy even said "I hope your baby gets polio anyway." So many people were unfriended.

I love how they call it "the vaccine debate." They give the idiots way to much credit.
-
It is kind of weird to post pictures of his kid like that. Though I don't think he did anything wrong.

The cdc states on their website how certain heavy metals have a correlation to autism. The ones saying its genetic have yet to find the gene. There are two sets of vaccines distributed to doctors. One set for people with insurance, another different set for children on Medicaid. Why? There is no full disclosure on the difference between the two. The rates of autism has increased by 252% in the black population in the past 5 years...which population has the highest % of people of Medicaid? Funny isn't it? I've seen first hand the dramatic effects that can happen to children within a week of being vaccinated. Not only does it increase autism rates but it can have effects that music Lyme Disease. It's horrible. If people believe for one second the US gov isn't continuing to experiment on the population of poor here they're in serious denial. This is more than likely the case in all developed countries. The pharmaceutical companies profit as much on vaccines as they do on other medications.

There is absolutely no proof that vaccines have even the slightest chance at causing autism... Of course he did the right thing. It's because of vaccines that certain diseases are now extinct. And I'm actually living proof that vaccines don't cause autism, when I was a baby I was given the MMR jab (measles, mumps and rubella) at the supposed "risk" of developing autism and so far I still haven't developed anything remotely similar to the actual defect... And no one I've actually ever met even, has had autism (well one lad I knew had asperges syndrome but I somewhat doubt that was because of vaccines)

My favorite vaccine picture.

Perfect example of how we are killing off our species by letting the rich and stupid procreate meanwhile the smart people are having less kids. Soon America will be in a sea of stupid

I hated mark before any of this shit went down. Still do.

I do not actually understand why people are not vaccinating their children because one or two experiments said there are some downsides to it but are those downsides really that big to make your kid has a chance to get a deadly sickness?
-
I don't understand why people believe that vaccines are bad for their kids But half the time, I don't understand why people bother worrying about what other people do or don't do. Everyone should just mind their own business
