I wish assists were somehow factored into your K/d ratio. I get so many assists it's crazy. Lately I've noticed snipers following me around and waiting for me to engage and damage an enemy while they hang back and finish them off. I wish i could say it was great teamwork but they're stealing my damn kills.

Destinytracker tracks it. I am in the 8th percentile in assists per game with 4.65 A/g (i.e. more than 92% of players). My wife is in the top 2% in assists per game with 5.33 A/g. It doesn't track A/D but it does do K/D and (K+A)/D, the difference is your A/D.

Nice. Just checked mine. My K+A/D ratio is top 5% a 1.98. And i'm also at 5% for A/g at 4.88. I didn't know Destiny tracker had that much in depth info. Thanks for letting me know.

If you are having lots of assists, you need to either improve your precision, or find a more powerful weapon. I find that using stronger weapons, and more accurately, reduces the number of assists that I have. You cannot totally eradicate assists, but you can look at your own style and tweak it a little.

I get lots of assists because of connection shenanigans. e.g. I shoot someone and they get killed by someone else before my damage registers. I frequently get assists with sniper headshots, golden gun, etc. I once tossed a nova bomb on a control point and got 6 assists, even though the super did more than 300 damage to each player.
