Welcome back to another week of Saber News Stories. Last week we brought forth a poll asking whether Destiny was dying or not and according to the poll the vast majority really did not care whether it was dying or dead or just fine. We also talked a little about the "Christmas gift" Bungie gave to us as well as introduced a product perfect for gun enthusiasts. Well this week we are going to keep it slightly short and talk about the bugs plaguing crucible as well as a new competition for Titans. We also have a Poll on whether or not you liked the Floating Bodies Bug. On to our first set of business. The Crucible Plague In the weeks following Iron Banners end Crucible has been plagued by some pretty nasty, but funny bugs. The most prominent of these is known as the Floating Body Virus. This virus has actually been creating quite the funny encounters during matches with dead Guardian bodies just randomly floating in the air. This happens when the bodies do not disintegrate from fusion rifles or supers. It is actually quite funny and I have created a short montage of this event. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QEXEkVKYlE Another one of the major problems plaguing Crucible is Guardians also dying from misadventures such as simply jumping in the air and dying from landing or activating their supers and randomly dying. Now this bug is not so funny and has proven quite troublesome for most. Other smaller problems have included melees not registering, doors randomly closing on Guardians and killing them, health bars on enemies you kill staying there, and Tether not suppressing supers. Bungie has announced that a fix has been deployed. Many Guardians are sad that the floating body virus is gone however because it made Crucible so much funnier. A petition to keep the floating bodies was issued but it fell on deaf ears and slipped into darkness. Now to our final segment. Titan Striker Challenge A new Challenge has been issued that is calling forth all Striker Titans. This challenge seeks out the toughest, fastest, most agile Titans to compete against one another to claim the Title of Strongest Titan. There are 5 challenges in both the Women’s and Men’s divisions. The first challenge is Stealth Shoulder Charge kills which is a style most Titans are not used to. The second challenge is Death From Above Destruction, where challengers must try to kill as many enemies with one Death From Above. Each challenger is given 3 attempts and the better of the 3 is used. Challenge number three is the Juggernaut Run. This challenge requires participants to run through a Gauntlet while being shot at by rubber bullets. Distance made and how quick you made that distance judge who wins this challenge. Challenge number four is the Lightning Grenade challenge that will pit a group of 8 Guardians against another 8 Guardians in an area where only Lightning Grenades are allowed. 4 grenades per Guardian team with the most grenade kills are the winner. Player who obtains most kills gets extra points. The final challenge is a compilation of the Shoulder Charge, Grenade, and Death From Above challenges that will pit 1 Guardian against 5 enemies in 3 rounds. The challenger has 3 minutes each round to kill the 5 enemies. Round one is Shoulder Charging only, enemies will try to evade and hide. Round two is Grenades only, enemies will also try to hide. And round three is the Death From Above round, players will have 1 attempt to kill as many enemies at one time with Death From Above. One kill equals one point for a total of 15 points maximum. Winners are awarded the Medal of the Striker to compliment them on their accomplishments. Pretty tough competition I must say, well now on to our announcements. Announcements Our first announcement is about the rumors regarding the DLC’s we have yet to receive for this year. Many people are assuming that we will be travelling to Mercury for something. Is this true, we will see. Our second announcement is that we simply hope you enjoy reading these news segments and we will continue to create them. Well that is all we have for this week’s Saber News Stories don’t forget to check out our elder brother station The Unofficial Weekly Update anchored by MurdiusMaximus on Thursdays. Remember you heard it first from your friendly neighborhood Sabertooth Tiger.
