My pathetic what? Shouldn't there be a noun after the possessive? Thanks for the bump!
-
Let me guess your gonna say "thanks for the bump". Ha
-
I think what he means by "pathetic" is your clan in itself. This Is a very backwards thing to say alright. " We are a clan that puts are differences aside" and then one of your requirements to be in the clan is " you have to be a female" WHAT????? Honestly I don't care about your sexist clan but I'm just here to point out this extremely flawed logic you have.
-
Well, when logical folks use context clues, then their reading comprehension skills help them understand that when we say put differences aside, we are referring to the intra-clan dynamics of how we work together and not how we might or might not interact with the external world. Also, *yawn* on the sexism comment; we've heard this incorrect assessment before. See articles below. Thanks for the bump! https://finallyfeminism101.wordpress.com/2007/10/19/sexism-definition/ http://everydayfeminism.com/2015/01/sexism-vs-prejudice/ http://www.bustle.com/articles/71400-6-reasons-men-can-literally-never-be-victims-of-sexism-and-those-who-think-they

One of the reasons I spoke out about your clan is that I don't want you influencing new female players coming to the game and they look at your clan and get the impression that Destiny's male population is filled with a bunch of sexist creeps that do nothing but harass and stalk women and it's nothing like that in the SLIGHTEST ( that's COD lol) them coming into the game with that type of mentality will be nothing but a hinderance to there overall fun. And ultimately it will do nothing more but draw an even bigger line between men and women in video games like destiny. I know it seems like it but I don't hate these groups I speak out to this because I want this game to be fun for everyone so we don't have to make clans specifically for women because we fear harassment for the other sex that badly alright. Look just if you stand for equality be equal in your admission into clans that is supposed to strengthen are bounds as players alright. I respect all fellow guardians....... I also wish you the best with your clan. :)

Edited by TnNikita: 1/15/2016 12:15:54 AMSo the things my female friends and I have experienced - the harassment - in Destiny didn't happen? The offers of genitalia pics from randoms in the tower, the comments from guys we've just met about it being ok that we don't know what we're doing (even though we clearly do), the questions about whether we have boyfriends and where we live and what we like in bed, the anger and insults that come when we ask for it to stop - that never happened to us? Wow, thanks for clearing that up for me and telling me what I and my friends have and have not experienced. You want to claim to support women? Stop acting like their voices and experiences aren't valid.
-
Btw I do support women but your flawed biased opinion is hindering you from seeing that.
-
If this is your definition of support, please support someone else. My very real experience of you is hindering my desire to have your support.
-
So making a clan is going to stop RANDOMS from doing that.... Really because so you obviously have something in your gamer tag that lets them no loud and clear your a girl and if these things happen I mean trolls are trolls and I doubt any of them are being serious. In not denying that this happen even though you could be making it up but is it that big of a deal. There is no possible way this happens every time you meet a guy alright how about when this happens shrug it off and kick, block, delete who ever you have to, I mean this stuff happens but when you make a clan addressing I have no problem with you standing up for yourselves but, when that stuff happens they want I reaction out of you it's a troll be an adult shrug it off and move on. Do get all riled up and let them get to you.
-
Edited by TnNikita: 1/15/2016 12:52:37 AM1. Making a clan offers a place we can guarantee that particular kind of harassment won't occur. No one is under any obligation to play exclusively with other clan members, and most everyone I've met (although I've clearly not met all 1100) have male friends they game with. 2. Telling me to ignore, block, etc is putting the responsibility for the harassment on me, the person being harassed. Not the person doing the harassing, not other players who hear/see it and don't say anything, not on the community at large. But on me, because that's appropriate. 3. Founder of a clan? Can you not read? Well, that's a silly question on my part, given how you opened this conversation and the fact that, given all the tools at your disposal, you can't read to learn the difference between sex and gender or what a social construct is. I have to say I'm impressed with the dictation program you must be using to respond to these posts. Please do share its name. 4. I'm laughing quite hard myself. This one's definitely going on the top ten list.
-
Top ten list of what? people who shoved logic in the face of biased and immature minds. I'll be part of that list ever heard of the saying " there's no such thing as bad publicity " have fun........ :)
-
I adore how your trying capture my sly and sarcastic tone in my messages and put them into yours because your trying to pretend like a random person doesn't have this big of an impact on your life. But I do
-
Edited by fightnight235: 1/15/2016 1:04:33 AMI never said it was on you but...... I did tell you to handle it like an adult but since you obviously can't read or think out side of the extremely small box you call your mind I guess It is by your definition so apparently doing the appropriate actions to stop a person from harassing you makes the harassment you fault I've learned a lot from you Madam. :) but I will admit my fault for assuming you were the founder I will take all ridicule with pride knowing that I a random guy have caught the attention of a feminist clan( see now I'm throwing feminist around just to piss you off :) ) I have shown how weak there minds and personal image of themselves are to argue with a random to justify there actions as close minded individuals. But again men in Destiny usually are nothing like how you described. Point made and one more thing is this really that big of a deal it's a T rated game meant for pure fun but because someone got there feelings hurt and didn't have the mental strength to move on instead made a clan to remind them of said harassment for................. Reasons I'm not so sure of anymore.
-
Thanks for all the material! This will keep me entertained for days!
-
Awww now just filler comments C'mon any more close minded and biased points for me to shoot down. Pleeeeease I want to knock you self esteem down even more btw this little war we had will be a great topic for Raid Night!!!!!! Thanks for the talk. But on one last serious note I do still wish you the best with your clan and hopefully you don't fully hate me .... Because honestly I adore you lol. You have made me laugh like never before. Have a nice day. Oh yeah and ummmmm GET TROLLED lol. See ya best friend <3
-
"See Articles below" Wow someone got but hurt when they read that, I like how you stated " yawn" and what not, when you took time out of your day to reply and put descriptions below to justify your SEXIST clan my dear, but anyway men in destiny are nothing like you are making them out to be. Your a close minded feminist with no real experience in the world of destiny obviously . "When logic fails" -_- lol . Okay tell you what this is your logic " We are not sexist in any way, but admission to our clan is based on what genitals you were born with" like I sad backwards logic. 95% of Men in Destiny are in no way accustomed to harassment, threats, or sexism. It's just you frantic feminists that are making it look like that. 9/10 women are treated equally if not way better than men are in Destiny just because they are women. They are way more likely to get help because they are women.
-
I'm generally happy to take time out of my day to respond to trolls on our recruitment thread; it's good for thread visibility and no actual threat to me. I also don't think I'm the one who's really upset here - I'm just trying to educate folks on what sexism actually means. You don't want to accept it, I'm not really bothered - it doesn't make you all that different from a lot of other folks down thread who felt like the best thing they could do with their time was come attack a group of women for their choices. Oh, and I did want to point out that gender identity, which is our admission criteria, has nothing to do with genitals. Thanks for the bumps!
-
But what makes a man different from a woman is MAINLY there genitals sooooooo another dosage of Backwards logic. Your attempts to justify you clan have proved unsuccessful.
-
Nope. What mainly differentiates male from female identity is what society labels as male and female. Try again.
-
WHAT ARE YOU EVEN TALKING ABOUT HAHAHA LOL. of all the things you have said that has by FAAAR the dumbest thing I have ever heard you say so if enough people right, so if all of Society says that I'm not a guy and your not a girl that makes it true. Ha omg omg OMG hahahahahahahahah WOW you keep digging a bigger and Bigger hole for yourself omg

Edited by TnNikita: 1/15/2016 12:25:46 AMhttp://www.livinganthropologically.com/2012/05/16/anthropology-sex-gender-sexuality-social-constructions/ Edited to note that yes, actually, if as a society we determined that it meant something different to be male, then the meaning of male would change. There's nothing set in stone about what identities mean. You can laugh all you want, but I'm not the one looking stupid.
-
YES YOU ARE YOU COMPLETE IDIOT IM AM LAUGHING MY ASS OFF RIGHT NOW. You don't have to find a carving in stone you can just look at the parts that females have and the parts guys don't have omg. You are a founder of a clan you have to be more intelligent then this oh my lord. Honestly I do admire( I'm not being sarcastic) your drive to stand up against things like this happening to women but these things happen rarely. Ahhhh I almost cried from laughing.
