Where/what is the Deep?
Is the Fundament a physical planet/location?
Who are the Helium Drinkers?
Who are the the Ecumene?
Did the three sisters ever kill Taox?
Are Savathûn and Xivu Arath still alive?
Did the Traveler cause the God-Wave?
Edit: Do you think the Krill were inherently evil, or do you think they were they tricked by the worm gods who were imprisoned by the leviathan in the core of the Fundament?
Where/what is the Deep? Imagine a realm different than from our own. That is the deep. Is the Fundament a physical planet/location? It's an actual planet Who are the Helium Drinkers? Proto hive. Who are the the Ecumene? A group of aliens that fought the hive Did the three sisters ever kill Taox? No Are Savathûn and Xivu Arath still alive? Yes they went their different ways. Did the Traveler cause the God-Wave? No telling worm gods did Edit: Do you think the Krill were inherently evil, or do you think they were they tricked by the worm gods who were imprisoned by the leviathan in the core of the Fundament?
Edited by A Rising Wind: 1/25/2016 5:07:27 PMA little late, but anonpigs answers are the best, as would be expected. Only slight differing thoughts. First, Amiable Ecumene does not appear to be a single race, but more like a collection of space faring species aligned for a common goal (think like the New Republic in Star Wars). And it is very, very likely that the worms caused the God wave. The hive king only knew of the coming god wave because his worm familiar told him. The worms told the hive the traveler caused the God wave but the leviathan later told the hive it was actually the worms. The worms needed the fear of the God wave to make a species desperate enough to accept their bargain. The krill were definitely tricked.

Edited by AnonPig: 1/15/2016 9:01:17 PMWhere/what is the Deep? The Deep is possibly another name for the Darkness, but it also suggests a location. Perhaps where the Darkness is at it's most powerful, or where it's power lies. Is the Fundament a physical planet/location? Fundament is a gas giant with several layers of atmosphere which are seen as seas to those who inhabit the planet. It's location is unknown, but fun fact, Saturn has 52 named moons Who are the Helium Drinkers? The Helium Drinkers, as well as the Star Cutters if I remember correctly, are also a part of the original race that became Hive. Think different continent. The original, "Krill" planet crashed into Fundament and broke into several "continents" Aurash's people on one, Helium Drinkers another. Who are the the Ecumene? The Ecumene were a race of pure logic, I believe that's how it's phrased, and I'm a bit rusty on their details but they've spread out far and wide across the stars, inhabiting several worlds. Did the three sisters ever kill Taox? They did not kill her to our knowledge. Her current state is unknown. Are Savathûn and Xivu Arath still alive? Again to our knowledge they are still alive, I personally believe Mara Sov is actually Savathûn, as said in the Books she's disguised herself to infiltrate a race before. Did the Traveler cause the God-Wave? There's nothing that actually proves the Traveler created the God Wave, it's more likely that it was a lie used by the Worm Gods to trick the Krill into accepting their larva Edit: Do you think the Krill were inherently evil, or do you think they were they tricked by the worm gods who were imprisoned by the leviathan in the core of the Fundament? They were... neutral I suppose. Haha Any more questions just feel free to ask! :)

Edit: Do you think the Krill were inherently evil, or do you think they were they tricked by the worm gods who were imprisoned by the leviathan in the core of the Fundament?
Where/what is the Deep? Nobody knows exactly, though its assumed they are everywhere, every possible universe. The Deep is another word for, "The Darkness" Is the Fundament a physical planet/location? Yes, a gas giant with floating continets. Who are the Helium Drinkers? Other proto Hive who eat other proto hive babies. Who are the ecumene? an Alliance of technological advance races who worked together for the common good. They eventually fell to the Hive. Did the three sisters ever kill Taox? It never says, shortly after the fall of the ecumene, she vanished. Its assumed we will see her again in some future DLC. Are Savathun and Xivu Arath still alive? In a sense. Did the traveler cause the godwave? Yes Your last edit is interesting. But it shows that the krill lived terrible harsh lives, but they endured. I believe change is what they wanted, though the path they took was inherently the same path as the Darkness. Good questions brother.

The 52 -blam!-ing moons caused the wave

Good to see those who read Destiny's lore. If bungie plays its cards right I'm in for 10 years. GoT had me in for 5, yes the waiting kills me. M' lord, I must ask of you. Please just a sip! A five second trailer? Perhaps a jpg still? Oh. I know! An image from a leaked source from a self-proclaimed famed YouTuber. It's all I ask of you. ...m'lord. *drops from exhaustion *

Edited by Brezz 22: 1/15/2016 2:02:10 AMTo answer your questions... 1. Another name for the darkness 2. A gas giant with several floating contanets 3. Another faction of proto hive 4. The cabal possibly 5. no 6. Yes 7.It is implied

I often wonders if the fundament weren't a different level of reality. I don't recall which book but I recall something about the dreadnaught coming into this reality... I'd not be surprised if terms like helium drinkers weren't a translation. But likely not.
-
I think the fundament is our galaxy or Jupiter (I'm saying this due to the number of moons they speak of) it's a big question I've had on my mind. Anyone want to discuss?
-
Fundament is indeed a physical place, those who inhabit it and it's moons are known as helium drinkers. I think one sister may be dead due to oryx wanting power to slay Akka. However she may still live in the amendment realm.

Edited by Fort: 1/14/2016 10:31:03 PMThe deep is the darkness Fundament's is a real planet The helium drinkers were a different faction of the krill The ecumene were a highly advanced race that the hive killed Taox is still alive Savathun and xivu Arath are still alive The traveler did not cause the god wave
-
The God-wave was caused by Fundament's moons, not the traveler.
-
Fort Oink nailed it. Imma just add. The Deep/Darkness is some kind of being with powers that we don't understand. It knighted Oryx and gave him the power to create Taken. Fundament is a gas giant. One of the Darkness grimoire cards talks about Oryx coming to that conclusion. Ecumene are the only ones to have actually given the Hive enough trouble to think that they were defeated for a time.
-
I've been playing destiny for a long time now and I seriously can't even tell who those people are!!! I don't even know who the traveler is:( I just play and shoot :3

Can we make this thread just a "ask about the lore" post? What happened to the Ishtar researchers after their simulations got pulled out of the Vex? Are they still alive?
-
I read lots of lore but haven't heard about these
-
Did you call the hunters- oh nevermind the lore hunters!
-
I believe Fundament is a gas giant that collided with a solid planet, forming small continents and a "sea of gas"
