I don't understand why people hate Dark Souls 2 so much, Yes I agree that Dark Souls 1 was better, but 2 is still by no means a bad game, I sunk just as many hours in DS2 as I did the first game.
-
DS2 seemed almost like they were trying to improve the game, which wasn't necessary. The animations were awkward and they focused far too much on graphics than story a logical use of items that already existed. The sequel also almost seems like the story from the first is nearly irrelevant, which definitely shouldn't be the case. Basically to me, it felt like I was playing a different series that tried really hard to be dark souls and the only reason they got the name, was because the same company made it.

There's always room for improvement in any franchise, if they had made Dark Souls 2 with the same graphics, same mechanics, same animations, then people would complain about it. They would say that Dark Souls 2 added nothing new to the series and it would look more like a cash grab on the success of the previous game (Battlefield Hardline anyone?). I honestly don't see how they could have continued the story from the first game, I like that 1 and 2 have their own stories. It makes it easier for newcomers to the series and there are still a few nods in there for the veterans. The story may not have been as memorable as the first, but its good DS2 had its own self-contained story. Plus it fits with Knight Solaire's speech about all the different worlds interacting with each other. A different world, a different time.

I hate all of them with a passion, and not because everyone claims they're "hard".

Demon Souls is good, Dark Souls is better. Dark Souls II is terrible and so is Bloodborne, casual fodder.
-
Agreed. Though dark souls feels much easier after playing bloodbourne. The faster paced combat made DS1 nearly a cake walk. DS3 may be hectic and amazing though!

Edited by Flawless : 1/17/2016 9:52:56 PMDark Souls was alot easier than Bloodborne for me for some reason. Dark Souls 2 was a disgrace though

Dark souls 2 had a different director. Thank god the old one is back for DS3 though.
-
I'm so glad about that.
-
People hate on Bloodborne because it's exclusive. And then they hate it even more because it's a ps exclusive.
-
It's the only reason I have a playstation.
-
As much as I love the FromSoftware game, I know some people that hate it. Filthy casuals.
-
People hate it because they run in without thinking. They're really easy games. Love the story behind them too.
-
They're not easy, per se. They are difficult to a degree, and every single enemy in the game is capable of killing you. Once you get 'in the zone', though, everything becomes very simple. It is at that point that you've learned what the game is trying to teach you. And the lore is absolutely amazing.
-
That's what I mean. Once you learn "sweet spots" for bosses, they become a joke. I was recently teaching a friend to kill the gaping dragon. His account was level 19 I think and after my advice he took no damage. Was cool to watch his from doing near no damage and dying to looking like a pro.
-
Maybe I should give them a try. It can't be much harder than beating God of War 3 on its hardest mode, every boss and tough creatures one shot you. I enjoy more in depth combat.
-
I hated Bloodborne lol
-
I am actually not a fan of those. They are frustratingly difficult and trial and error to the point of it not being all that fun to me.
-
I hate that style of games
-
You're one person.
-
There's 2 now bby
-
Oh damn. 2 people.
-
-
I hate dark souls 2

I said dark souls. Not dark souls 2.
