He nods.
"Yeah...I guess there is."
He adjusts his feet, looking down. He looks up again and makes eye contact as he starts speaking.
"Alright, I was having a flashback....not a pretty one."

Besides I can smell the chemical changes in your hormones and if there's a sudden change I know something is wrong

He drinks from his glass again silently.

[b]stares at him then walks over to a bookshelf[/b]

He looks over at you, sipping at his glass again.

[b]pulls a large book off the shelf and tosses it to him[/b]

He catches the book with one hand, holding his glass with the other. He inspect the book.

[b]its abnormally heavy[/b]

He looks at you then sets his glass down on a nearby table and begins flipping through the book.

[b]after 6 pages he discovers it's a hollow book with a very old bottle of whiskey[/b]

He smiles, shaking his head and grabbing the bottle. "Lethal, you son of a bitch."

That could be taken as a compliment this time

"It could." He smiles and downs the rest of his glass, pouring the ungodly old whiskey into his now empty glass. He offers some to you as well.

I'm fine I'll start drinking when I find a legitimate reason not to

He nods, taking a sip of the brew. "Goddamn...waited to drink that for so long. Easy the best I've ever had."

Tell me something...how is it that you're able to love one person then another after their demise?

He sighes, looking down then back up, swirling his drink around in his glass. "I uh...never really forget, I just....cope. I adjust to that feeling and keep going, well not anymore." He takes a long drink of the whiskey.

I understand...if you ever need help dealing with some things I'm here [b]pulls out a pocket watch and observes the time[/b] 5 minutes and the desert is ready

He nods, pulling the glass from his face. "Sounds good."

He almost spits out his alcohol laughing. He keeps it in and turns towards you. "Can I what?"

If you're trying to tease me it's working...I asked you to pet me dammit

"I thought you were joking...but, ok." He sets down his glass and puts you in a headlock, petting your head.
