Why did bungie leave behind strikes?

Why did bungie leave behind the year 1 strikes? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever? It is like they are trying to make the game less fun! The only reason I can think of to why they would remove these strikes from year 2 is so we would play the year 2 strikes more, and that is absolutely stupid.

  • Well think about it you play the newer harder strikes or you play the easier older strikes because if you go to the lowest one you usually get Sepiks, Omnigul, or Taniks

  • Money. It would take R&D time and testing time to bring each old strike into Y2. They wanted to do other things with thief resources, like SRL, which they can monetize.

  • It would have made sense if they did it just for the first month, to highlight the new strikes. But now I think it's simply laziness. I'm not sure how much effort has to go in modifying the strikes to include the Taken, but Bungie clearly deemed it too much.

    • One simple reason... Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

      • Probably so they can hide them behind an upcoming paywall

      • To stop year 1 players who didn't buy ttk from playing with the paying players.
