Favorite Rock Subgenre?
Any that I miss? Anything that shouldn't be there?

[spoiler]I didn't include Blues because I felt it's more of its own genre and I also feel that its fan base isn't quite as large. Anybody agree or disagree?

Edit: Never thought Rock 'n' Roll (Elvis, Chuck Berry, etc.) would be beating Classic Hard Rock (AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Queen, etc.).

1 ReplyBoth Classic Rock categories. I like bands like Pink Floyd, The Beatles, and Jethro Tull as well as heavier classic rock groups like The Who, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. And just to be clear, I consider metal a derivative of rock, thus making Black Sabbath classic rock.
