Lars Barkken spotted on psn playing a test build of a new crucible mode "Crimson Doubles"
Basically confirms my suspicions that the feb update will be a destiny take on Valentine's Day. The letters people have found in the item database will be collected like candy was during festival of the lost. We get a new "valentines" pvp mode where you go in with your lover/buddy into doubles.
Gonna be really stupid like festival of the lost. Hopefully we get some new actual (not just cosmetic) gear out of it.
-
shadowshot will get a limited edition cherub armor set and love hearts will fly off when shooting the tethers.
-
Maybe the special event at Easter will be if you die on the Friday you can't play again til Sunday
-
That sounds stupid. Really stupid.
-
That sounds stupid as hell
-
Cool I still need 13 more doubles wins to finish my Grimoire.
-
So basicly a wingman game type. If we're lucky, we'll all get torque bows to play Qupid's arrow.

Hallmark Holiday related events are the stupidest idea ever. I know I don't speak for everyone, but I would bet not even 3% of the player base thinks this would be a cool event. Get off the pipe guys, seriously.
-
And where Is your proof?
-
That is an awful lot of speculation to be "confirmed" by seeing a guy testing a new mode. Not sure how this leads you to a conclusion of a Valentine's themed candy fest. Wait and see is the easiest thing to do. A lot of speculation for now.

I just want the other exotics and higher sublime engram drop rate
-
I still have raisins!!!!!
-
Don't hope too much for actual gear, I'd be willing to bet it'll be cosmetic again like the Halloween deal.
-
If true, would be the dumbest event Bungie has ever come up with. Bungie was touting the spring event to be on the scale of TTK, but that can't be true as it wouldn't be a pay-for event. Well I guess unless they plan on using Eververse again.
-
Sounds like it will be fun for like 20min until people camp in the back with snipers
-
For an online multiplayer game they sure do like to keep the team events small.
