I won't want to assume why people live with their folks. My neighbor lives with her mom, because her mother is sick, and cannot care for herself - waiting for an inevitable slow painful death. If she feels better when she is asleep, why should we disturb that?

Some people judge adulthood by how quickly they can move out on their own. Not always the best metric.
