"Redneck"
Can someone explain the term "Redneck" in the fullest detail, please? Is it specific? Is it vague? Do all "Rednecks" have red necks?

Originally, it was meant as a way to slur someone as "a person who works out of doors all day long", such as a farmer or field laborer as opposed to a city dweller or someone who worked indoors.. It's since transformed into meaning "an ignorant hick, typically from the south".
