You are mistaken. Lawyers and medical are highest paid. But, if we are talking Salary wise, then yes engineers are highest paid, but, computer engineers are one of the lowest paid engineers. Programmers would fall under computer engineering, or if they are strictly programmers, then they'll fall under a lesser category
