It's nothing more than a panic button. A goddamn panic button.
It requires literally ZERO skill to kill people with it. You simply press a button and everyone around you dies in less than a second. Once the animation has been initiated, the only way to stop it is if you have a super, three rocket launchers, or a dozen shotguns already aimed at the guy. No other super activates that fast, so unless you have one already active, and are aiming at them, you've got pretty much no freaking chance of stopping it.
What the hell are you supposed to do? Stay away from all titans at all times just in case one might have it ready? Killing a Titan before he has the chance to press the button doesn't work, as he'll simply have it ready the next time he respawns. It's simply not feasible to kill a Titan after the button's been pressed unless he's already severely wounded.
Why the hell is it that whenever this is brought up on the forums, everyone jumps to its defense?
The striker subclass is supposed to be unstoppable, I get it. What I don't like is how no other class has a super that's that goddamn effective. No other class has a super that, once activated, guarantees that everyone around you will die unless they either happen to have a super capable of killing you already active, or they have a fist of havoc that they can also use to survive the explosion.
I know that these forums has a severe allergic reaction to the word "nerf", but I really think that Fist of Panic deserves it. At least make it so that in PVP it requires a second to charge before detonating, making their window of vulnerability slightly larger.
"Press a button to instantly kill everyone around you." is OP in the crucible even amongst supers. It simply can't be countered by anything because once it's activated, you've got less than a second to react, which is not enough time to do anything capable of stopping it.
Either give us a more time to counter it, or give the other classes a super each that is equally unstoppable.
To everyone who will inevitably side with the super and insult me in the comments below, I genuinely want to know how you can justify this. Every super has a bane, a weakness, except this one. GG has no armor and can easily be shut down, WoD can be countered by simply staying away from the bubble or blowing it up with another super, Stormcaller is easily noticable and thus gives players a chance to react and flee from it. Fist of Havoc has no weakness. If you're in range when it's activated, you will die.. If you disagree, I challenge you to explain a reliable method of not dying when you're in range of an incoming panic fist.
Seriously, the only ways a FoH could actually NOT kill people is if they somehow belly flopped off the map, chose to waste it when there were no enemies around, or if they chose to belly flop at someone who already had GG aimed at them ready to fire. Also if someone reacted by activating their own belly flop so the armor would protect them, but that's assuming they're a titan and also have a ready-to-activate FoH.
All of the above can be avoided with even the slightest bit of competence and should not be considered "weaknesses" of the super.

It's usually for like 1 kill or a super killer. Just jump or move to the side. Fist of havoc is the last thing this game needs to worry about
-
I just start doing the Carlton. How can someone willingly fist of panic a person that's doing that dance? They can't. It works every time.

Waaaaaaaah. Poor baby.

Bladedancer...mobile multikill. GG...ranged multikill. SS...ranged kill/tether/super suppressor. VW...ranged multikill. SS....mobile grenade launching zombie. Palpatine....FoH AND mobile/ranged multikill. Striker....one shot multikill....not ranged...not mobile. Defender....not a kill...not ranged...not mobile. HoS....ranged/mobile multikill. 2 thirds of a titans supers require you to be within shotgun range to kill you. Stop using a shotgun? Kudos on all the fusion rifle kills in crucible though. I can't do it.

Any titan with a blinking light level = supered = stay away.

That's a really long and lame post that requires one simple answer. Move back. It's not a projectile and it has extremely limited range.

I got destroyed in fist by shotguns

Let me guess... hunter main. I love people saying FOH takes no skill. Now first off I will say thay when it is used as a panic super... definitely, takes no skill, and they just wasted a super on one person. But the same can be said about Voidwalkers, Nightstalkers and Stormcallers. They all are used many times in 1v1 situations by crap players who panic. So yes, all players who use their super as a panic button are most of the time going to be not so amazing crucible players. But guess what, they wasted their super on one person. If someone uses their super on just me by myself, I'm completely fine with that, they just wasted it. No game is ever won by a crappy player using a panic slam, or any panic super, to kill 1 person. FOH is actually one of the hardest supers to use effectively (i.e. getting a multikill).

Move out of the way

Counter goes something like this... Step 1:Place hands behind head with legs spread shoulder with apart Step 2: bend at waist placing head in between knees Step 3: pucker lips in sensual fashion Step 4: kiss ass goodbye! Let me know if this helps!

Alright so it actually does have a bane, you see once its been executed, they're actually sitting ducks for a good three seconds which is more than enough time to take them out. I main a titan, and this is how you take them out. You Also have to predict if they're about to slam you. For instance, if they're rushing or titan skating right at you, jump back there's a decent chance they'll miss their slam. Then take them out. You just gotta think fast about it.
-
#satire? It is what it's supposed to be. And in case you didn't realize, it also has the lowest average for kills (excluding defender). Also, if they miss, they're dead. You can kill one with anything before they go back into first person and ready their weapon. Gotta be bait...

Also have you ever seen what the storm callers can do?! Do your research buddy. The Titans aren't the problem here.
-
Supers aren't supposed to have "skill" to be used. That's why it's called a "Super"...
-
The point is to be a close quarters super, also there are plenty of times where you can get killed midair when jumping up and then using the fist of havoc from a high place. If it was able to be dodged and your right next to them, how is that ANY more balanced?
-
Run. See a Titan charging at you not firing? You gonna die
-
It's a one time use and you usually get one kill. I cannot believe you are complaining about striker. You are pathetic
-
Unplug your system
-
It has short range and area of effect. That's its weakness. You can't throw/shoot if across the map. You can't activate it and roam the map killing as you go. It's hard to get opponents to stand close enough together to get a multikill. Most of the time you either use it to kill a single guardian or it goes to waste while you search for the perfect opportunity. It has it's weaknesses. Like every super. Stop crying. It's FAR from the best super.
-
You know I love you but your post was so long that I hit my "Fist if Havoc" 3 times to get outta reading it.

Edited by magburner: 1/22/2016 12:37:31 PMPerhaps I should compile a montage of the many times that I have been pulled out, mid-panic? It would be lengthy! As for using the 'Fist of Panic' on a solitary guardian, so what? I have lost count of the number of times that I have had an opposing guardian, Titan, Hunter or Warlock, who has done the same. The only difference between what they have done and what I have, is that they have a time limited effect, which gives them more opportunities to kill further guardians. A Striker has a one-shot manoever which must be aimed, or it is wasted. I could also compile another montage, of the times that my 'panic' has missed the mark. Strikers certainly cannot run around bashing buttons racking up kill after kill, as is the case with nearly every other subclass and super. So, stop whining, and grow a pair (if you already have a pair, cough so that they drop back into your nutsack).

I've actually managed to survive a fist of havoc with a normal legendary sword shield (then got shotgunned afterward) :(
