it's funny seeing everyone complaining about sbmm bc they can't pubstomp anymore and their precious k/ds are dropping
you feel like every match is a sweaty now? u don't like losing? how do you think randoms felt going up against you.
u say u can't take a match off now, lol, like u ever did before. please the only time u unequip the meta is when bungie creates a new one with their "balancing"
basically if you complain about sbmm, only thing I have to say is git gud scrub
and let the attacks on my k/d begin
edit: if its the lag that bothers you, then complain about the lag. Bungie said they will look into the latency issues, if you want to believe them
-
It's the lag...and SBMM is the cause of it. Another reason being - we don't want to sweat every game we play. Clash, Control - they should be casual (connection-based). While Skirmish, Rift, Salvage, and Elimination(+ToO) should be skill based.
-
Lmao it would be fine but they're complaining about the horrible player to player lag. Git Edercatid Scrub
-
Edited by xJPerk: 1/22/2016 8:12:33 PMSbmm only belongs in ranked playlists. If they want the game to be casual (which obviously they do considering the lack of offline pvp or custom games) needs to be connection based MM first.

Edited by BwA Blitz: 1/22/2016 7:36:28 PMAs much as I hate the "get gud" type of comments, he's right. The lag is one thing but I see a lot of complaining from guys that just don't want to have to play people on the same level. As probably an average or below (being honest here) pvp player, I welcome skill based matchmaking. It makes the pvp aspect more playable for me. I'm not asking for opponents I can roll over, just ones that I have a fair chance at beating on any given day. The lag, as I said is a different issue. If you can't have SBMM without the lag then I I agree, it has to go.
-
OP enjoys red bar god mode.
-
It's funny how ONLY THE TOP PLAYERS have any complaint about this. I come across lag from time to time but it's not even such an issue to cry about. I'm not a top players and neither is most of the community
-
Nothing to do with kdr. If I want ultimate sweats I'll play a real PvP game, like Titanfall.. this crucible as it stands is wholly unbalanced. Too much is left to question, and we still have issues that have been around since the game dropped. THAT is bad. So why is it that in this obviously unbalanced game, does anyone think SBMM is a good idea? We have latency issues, we have weapons that are in dire need of changes, both for better and worse. Every video that is posted in relation to PvP basically shows us that most guardians are using the same weaponry.. that alone is a red flag in regards to balance. They should definitely leave SBMM out of this game. I'm not looking to stomp or go positive every match, I just want to play a few rounds where I'm not up against another squad of snipers.
-
Let's be honest guys, the only people who agree with SBMM are bad players wanting to pad their KD.
-
Get your grimoire up! (Only insult I could think of). :)

Edited by ohTryhard: 1/22/2016 9:03:58 PMGod forbid good players have fun!
-
So does this mean I can tank a bunch of matches before trials to lower my kd. Then have a better chance of getting to the lighthouse.
-
WHAT IS SBMM?!?
-
Matchmaking is still a joke...so many one sided matches, difference is I've been on the winning side more often than before.
-
I agree
-
My issue is the lag. Don't give a shit if I get wrecked. I just can't stand someone eating my bullets taking no damage or bouncing all over my screen running in to walls then killing me from behind.
-
You do understand that SBMM in p2p connections= lag? There is no way to fix this. If they are skill based matchmaking, the lag will be bad.
-
Awe someone needs a snickers.... You're not you when you're hungry!
-
I have zero problems with sbmm, but rather, the latency that is inherently part of being matched against people with McConnections or those residing on the opposite side of the planet. Those sorts of matches are antithetical to skill-based play by virtue of the fact that one team is often left with a netcode-mandated disadvantage.
-
Really? Btw your message just told one of the best pvp players in Destiny to get gud . So -blam!- you
-
Exactly. It isnt the sbmm. Its the lag that comes with it. I love a good challenge! But, when i get 1 bursted by a guy continuously doing flips, shotgunned by a warp--blam!-ed titan and watching him teleport across the map while all of the players drop to a red bar, that is infuriating...
-
Why do I keep reading all this "sbmm" crap as BDSM?
-
I would try to convince you to abandon the preposterous position you've taken up, as it is pretty obvious you've blinded yourself with your own ego I'll just take this opportunity to say, "No".
-
I could give a bag of dicks about skill based, but when I shoot someone and they teleport or melee someone just to find them dancing around the corner...that's what i have an issue with.
-
You are an idiot. A lot of the lag is caused because better players are being matched with people from across the world on a P2P connection. It also forced players to sweat and use the meta at all times when they would rather using non meta guns for fun. You shouldn't be punished for being good at the game.
-
The sbmm is responsible for the increase in lag. It's prioritizing skill over good connections. I've been paired against elimination teams of 3 when playing solo that are from japan.
-
I have always been terrible but for some reason SBMM thinks I am a pro. It constantly matches me against players that just destroy me (worse than I used to get destroyed) so I am not sure what the deal is. I used to think man I wish it would match me against players my skill level! Now supposedly that is the case yet I am getting beat worse than before lol. The terrible lag doesn't help the situation at all either.
