its starting to get annoying with all the hot pants, spandex and other tight fitting clothing becoming the only thing allowed for hunters to wear, the original VOG armor had some loose fitting armored pants which looked amazing

i see halo ODST units as the hunters of halo since they are primarily scout based

while protecting his vital organs he still has plating to shield his lower abdomen as well

Yeah doesn't look that great but is somewhat accurate based on modern hard plates. They sit up higher to protect the heart and lungs but most won't reach farther down for mobility and weight, but there still Kevlar that'll supplement and go where the plate isn't. Soft armor workers better around joints and areas that need to bend better than hard plates. But yeah I'd rather see closer to ODST style armor myself, or at least have supplemental soft armor or gear instead of something that looks like shiny spandex. But in looking at destiny and RPGs, I've wondered if destiny might be better off with armor classes (light, mid, heavy) as opposed to just being a class stat node. Maybe make the 3 classes of armor different for each class though to be able to quickly identify what class a character is. Styles on classes in order (light, mid, heavy) Titan (chain mail with cloth coat of arms, half plate, full plate) warlocks (cloth robes, robes with chain mail, robes with sections of plate), hunters ( trench coat, half plate, segment plate armor). Titan armor in each category will look beefier, Titans will also have built in traits or abilities to naturally make them slightly more tanky for each lvl of armor by comparison. Hunters will be more nimble for each class of armor by comparison. Warlocks will have traits geared towards recovery and possibly ability recharge. Armor class will primarily effect speed, damage resist/ health, and recovery of health and ability recharge. Heavy armor will have highest health/ damage resist, mid recovery, and lowest speed. Mid armor will have the highest speed, mid health/damage resist, and lowest recovery. Light armor will have the highest recovery, mid speed, and lowest health/damage resist. Ultimately, this is just making an existing set up more cosmetic and to give deeper character customization and at least more of the illusion of additional sub class types ex battle Mage, paladin, bandit. If done right, hopefully the classes would end up feeling more different in the neutral game.
