I really like this girl who I've known in my math class since September of last year. We don't talk to each other too much, but there's something I feel for her that is stronger than any attraction I've felt before. As a freshman new to my school, I haven't really made a lot of friends, and my social awkwardness makes things even harder. This affects how I am around this girl; I always feel embarrassed to be caught looking at her. I want to tell her I like her, but she's always with her best friend out of math class, and I can never sum up enough courage, plus she's a sophomore, which makes it harder. To top it all off, my confidence has been ruined by three girls in the past two years. How do I talk to this girl without screwing up a fourth time?

You gotta develop some sort of genial relationship with her first. Its highschool, no girl is going to date the awkward freshman she doesn't know asking her out. She may say yes to her friend or friendly classmate, assuming he is genuinely enjoyable to be around. So be yourself, talk to her, and see if you can make it work from there. If you surprise her like it sounds like you want to, then it'll go bad. But, honestly man, this girl probably has not ever considered you romantically. Again, its highschool, thats just how that shit is. But don't worry, it'll suck but you'll get over it quick and move on to actual girls instead of this crush stuff. However, I suggest you still try. Just talk to her, be a friend from school before anything else.
