So Fallout 4 clearly made sucsess with a new more FPS type of fallout. Now I'm wondering what people want from the next Elder Scrolls along with my opinion.
So while I loved everything about Fallout 4 (like smiled as wide as the joker the entire time waiting at the midnight release) its pretty clear their old engine (it was made using an engine heavily based off of Fallout 3's engine) is starting to show its age. The game was a bit clunky and rough even if the game itself was a beauty. I think if they went to work on a new engine that works around both what they are familiar with all the while being much more capable they could do so much better.
Now that that is out of the way I'd like to be able to fully craft a sword with multiple options of parts and different shapes of metalwork that can change the swing speed, damage, and other factors. Same thing with armor.
Maybe Co-op. Maybe. Not sure.
Would be interesting if a race of Demora became playable. Maybe some kind of race banished from oblivion?
Quests that can have a ripple effect on the main story. Example: failing to close an oblivion gate can lead to the death of an entire village and cause it to be infested with endless deadra and a few of them are willing to sell or send you on a quest. Along with the location will visually change.
End up the bad guy. What if I want to be an inspiration to all the scoundrels of the world?
Being in opposing guilds to be a challange. If I'm in the Dark Brotherhood and plan to join a guild that is all about justice then I should have to attempt to keep the peace to a point. Like convince them the brotherhood can be good for their cause.
Dwarven technology research. Basically you can work to engineer dwarven sentries and forge parts to modify gear. Maybe make a midevil power armor like devise. Though maybe or maybe not the last part.
More magic. Always fun using different spells. Maybe a powerful spell that requires you to sacrifice a soul gem and the stronger the soul gem the stronger and more intense the spell gets. Maybe even puzzles that require magic. Oh and telekinesis. Who doesn't want to send a bottle of skoma flying through someones head.
Don't take this as not likeing skyrim but it didn't have as strong a story as Oblivion in my opinion. I'd probably avoid "the chosen one" that was the Dragonborn. It just left a feeling that I had a very clear path. That and can I not start as some form of prisoner? I'm starting to worry that Bethesda has some.... Fetish with them... Maybe I was a humble merchant on my way to (insert province here) and was attacked and taken hostage by the cult of Vaermina that are controlled to perform her will in their sleep. You escape (in typical tutorial fashion) and decide you should report this to king of a the closest kingdom and from there get thrown into a world of war and chaos. Well at least that's my pitch.
Character reactions. If you are known as the guy who killed the king or something I shouldn't be able to pay 50 gold or something and head off to the local pub for a cold one. I just killed you're king! Why are you asking me for 50 gold? Why is the other option a week in prison? Did you hate the king that much!?
Congratulations if you got to the end. This list is probably just going to keep growing.

While I like the idea of playing co-op with a friend, I can't think of anyway that it could work well. And don't think I want them to put time into that. Much rather they fine tune what they have. And focus more on the single player aspect. MP in games is rarely anything good enough for me to play more than a few times. Usually takes a developer several games to get something good worked out online. Id like to see some expansion on the settlement building from FO. Id love to set up look out towers and forts. Assembling an army that you use in the campaign story. Make it so that building strong settlements expands the size and strength of the army. Setting up the army line up by putting certain races/classes on the front lines or has medics etc. Limitless possibilities! So much more but that was first thing I thought of

Co-op has to happen. I get how the journey is supposed to be a single player, personal one, but I really wanna chill with a buddy while playing.

I just want a in depth crafting system, highly customizable weapons not just tier 1 tier 2 ect but multiple types of the same weapon with stats coming from material without deciding the look. Dyable armor parts, ranging from rugged looking gear to highly detailed armor with an addition of medium armor. Alchemy that includes grenades and elemental flasks in addition to potions and poisons. Magic crafting to allow custom created spells with there own unique effects such as a fire and lighting combo creating a spell that causes a aoe explosion

Edited by The Juan Jon: 1/27/2016 9:11:36 PMI made a big post for this but the app crashed so here's bullet points: Setting: Not Blackmarsh or Elswyr (boring settings swampland/desert) go Akivir in my opinion. They won't attempt all of Tamriel again (which is good). Races: Go Akavir get Monkey people, Serpent Men and Tiger people (not impossible to set in near future after Tamriel migration for older races). Story: Akavir is unburdened by past games (mostly) so free reigns to do whatever. Co-op: No, never (see ESO, I like it just doesn't feel TES). New features: A return to more in depth armour (Morrowind style) and magic (Morrowind/Oblivion). NPC interaction: New consoles could improve it drastically, reactions, remembering etc etc. I missed some but that'll do... Edit: assuming the ending of Skyrim by Bethesda standards would be Alduin defeated, Skyrim gains independence, Ulfric dies, the Emperor is assassinated, Tulius dies, Blades reformed, Dragonborn becomes head of Winterhold College, the Listener, head of Thieves Guild, Harbinger (can't remember it's name?) of the Companions (all endings are cannon at once it's a mess I know but that's they're way). I could see the next game going south toward the Summerset Isles and Valenwood to finish the Second war with the Aldmeri Dominion (purely because they recently did Cyrodil).

I think it would be cool to put it in hammerfell. But story wise I want Great War part 2. Choose which side to fight for. Really tough choices to make such as rescue civilians vs saving your soldiers to keep your army's strength. Companions with actual personalities. I'm thinking a 2017 release since Bethesda expanded their studio.

Really good items that are just laying around in the world for some reason or another. Like how Morrowind did it. Give players a reason to look behind the book case, check under that coffin lid, swim to the bottom of that pond, explore that little underwater cave etc. Not have them all locked behind quests or in the chests at the end of a dungeon. It's always irked me that Oblivion and Skyrim took that route with loot and made the world less rewarding to just explore and less organic feeling. That's just my opinion though.

A new engine would be nice. Maybe some more depth of story, Al la Morrowind and/or Daggerfall? Marry able characters from all the races and not just the humanoids?
-
Dude if you've played the witcher 3 the next elder scrolls is gonna be a beast lol I'd hope for better magic combat system more gruesome ways to dispatch your enemy's like witcher does lol

Edited by DeusFever: 1/25/2016 5:04:11 PMThe Elder Scrolls series, minus Elder Scrolls Online, needs to catch up to games like The Witcher 3. Good combat mechanics + storytelling = win.

No multiple endings. I want to join all factions(guilds) with one character. I hope jeremy soule is doing the music. Less loading screens

60 FPS on console? :(

Edited by Crotas Left Nut: 1/27/2016 2:34:37 AMI want a game that won't get boring asf after the story the way FO4 did
-
Just......I need that og rpg feel oblivion had. Just bethesda plis
-
I want to throw more intense fireballs from my hands. Burn the world. Burn it all.
-
I thought it was already confirmed to be Black Marsh?
-
Co op.
-
I want there to be more NPC reactions. And no immortal NPCs. For example, if I go into a city and murder a Jarl, the people of that city should want me dead on sight, but an enemy kingdom would celebrate me as a hero

You mean skyrim 2?
don't feed me please
Hoping for some high rock or summer set isles

Lore wise, I want one of the main questlines to be a continuation of the conflict with the Thalmor. The history behind Skyrim's civil war as well as the war thirty years prior fascinated me, and was one of the most interesting parts of the games lore. No matter which side the players chose in the civil war, the threat of the Thalmor is far from over. Perhaps the setting of the Elder Scrolls 6 could be in both Elsywer(sorry if I misspelled) and Valenwood. Have there be some rebellions against the tyranny of the Thalmor as they become motivated by the resistance of the Thalmor in Skyrim and Hammerfell. Meanwhile all of the provinces of mankind band an alliance together (independent or dependant) as they recognize the true enemy. They secretly support and assist the rebels to buy them time for the inevitable second great war. The Thalmor don't necessarily have to be the main antagonists, there could be a godlike entity like Alduin or Mehrunes Dagon threatening the world again, but the Thalmor seem way too important on the grand scheme of things in Tamriel to be ignored in Elder Scrolls 6.

Hoping that it's only being developed for current gen consoles/pc. No 360 or ps3

My main hopes for the next elder scrolls game is mind blowing graphics! It can be basically the same gameplay as long as the world I'm exploring looks and feels amazing! I want something that looks real AF!
-
That it will be better than fo4

I just want a ton of unique, crazy dungeons. They did a great job with skyrim but I would like more intricate puzzles. Make me work for those unique weapons and loot.
