I love the SBMM because I match streamers and I love watching myself play ayyyy lmao
Jk I love playing players who are better than me or equally the same skill level

Did you play Dust 514? Your name sounds familiar.
-
Ever since they added skill based matchmaking, my Titan can blink!

Fite me in ib, bits

Edited by ScrewLogic: 1/26/2016 11:53:30 PMThis isn't a competitive game.. I don't like it. If I want competition I'll do trial or IB. not normal crucible Edit:and lag
-
It's bad because when I get a winner streak, bungie is like oh hell no and puts me against -blam!-ing sniper camp city and I got a -blam!-ing pulse rifle and shotgun in a war zone filled with snipers and scout rifles
-
You just like skill based matchmaking bc tou can face top tier players and win, and show everyone. Your obviously a good player with a 2.3 kd. But for the rest of us peasants it sucks having to get sniped in the face all game long by top tier players
-
I don't think people dislike SBMM because of the the skill they are matched against. I think there are other issues. One, obviously the lag issues. Two, i don't know this to be a fact, but it seems like if you lag constantly you will develop higher kd, win pct etc., so you well be matched with laggers if you are higher skill.
-
It really would not bother me if the games played right but there is a reason black ops 3 got rid of it in a day. There is no possible way you can have it without adding latency and latency is the absolute worst thing you can have in an FPS game. The game should be based around fastest ping period. The game should always prioritize people closer to you as the number one metric. Hell as the only metric
-
Those who hate sbmm are the ones that are relatively highly skilled because instead of being matched with average they can easily stomp, they're matched against other highly skilled players. And since there aren't that many of them, they are further apart and have high ping. Personally, I'm barely above average, so I don't feel any connection issue and I can finally improve since I don't get matched against people clearly to good for me.
-
It's awful, and I'm only at 1.1 and I can't get into a single game without an insane amount of lag because at least three people are either from the wrong side of the US or another country. Note: my k/d isn't dropping or rising, its stayed rather constant, maybe gone up a little. It. Has. To. Go. Destiny, at its core, is a casual game. It was not designed to be competitive and the fact that Bungie went behind everyone's backs to try and shoehorn this in only further proves the little regard they have for their playerbase. Destiny cannot ever be truly competitive without changing the core fundamentals of the game, not to mention the abhorrent map design Bungie has taken upon themselves to continually showcase.

No. Ever since December when SBMM was added to all playlists it had made Crucible a lagging nightmare.

Edited by JustAKiller: 1/27/2016 7:00:14 AMI only like it because it it matches me up faster in sweats.
-
Kinda hard to enjoy crucible when i see the entire enemy team teleport across the map due to massive lag..... No i do mot like skill based match making. The system worked fine before, there was lag sure, but not nearly as much as there is now! Its horrendous!
-
Haha I was about to post this <3 loving SBMM. I'm matching up with people from She's my nerds clan, domination and other really good 360 ones. So cool meeting good people but there is definitely an element of lag.
-
No. It's -blam!-ing stupid. How is it any fun to use Thorn and Last Word every game you play because that's all that can compete in a 1v1 battle? You can argue amongst other things, but what if I want to relax and not try so hard? What if I want to have fun with a new fusion rifle I was rewarded? What if I want to just have fun in general and use an uncommon loadout for the hell of it? It honestly is not fun. And you damn well know every SBMM game is typically Thorn/TLW/Multi-Tool & High Impact Shotgun/Sniper the majority of the time. At least when SBMM was never a thing, there was a hell of a lot more variety aside from the usual meta because people didn't have to try so damn hard just to win and have a satisfied game. Which is why I've completely given up on this game. It's strictly Black Ops 3 for me, and when I do play Destiny, it's strictly casual. I no longer play to win every game because where's the fun in abusing the meta every. single. game.??? This game is -blam!-ing pathetic and a waste of time

Sorry senpai i have to disagree with you
but you still look cute today though
Edited by SpydrByte: 1/27/2016 7:01:28 AMWhat's SSBM? Edit: SBBM Edit 2: SBMM

SBMM is a great idea on paper and in theory, but in a game that doesn't have dedicated servers and isn't meant to be competitive it doesn't really have a place imo. If they want to implement sbmm they should only do so in competitive game modes. Bungie of all devs should know this considering they created halo. They had social and ranked playlists separate for a reason.

I love lag
-
I can see why people complain due to lag mostly but i like playing against people with a similar or better skill set, allows me to get better and improve my game before i try trials haha.
keep it cute haha.
-
I've played against a few streamers.
-
I don't hate it but it still doesn't always seem to work as I would imagine. Of course when it does there are 2 problems...either everyone is a try hard and the only way to win is to be super serious and not at all play with a fun loadout...or half the opposing team is lagging and impossible to kill as they teleport all over the place.
-
I feel like I would if it worked better. I feel like I always get matched against a full team of amazing players, or 3 ppl on my team rage quit within a minute and, well, you know how that goes.
-
Sometimes. But it's slowly growing on me. But as it is, I won't be able to join a lobby to just play around without it being a high likelihood of it being another close game.

Prof. Oak's words echoed "there's a time and place for everything."
there are places where SBMM should be used. And places where it should not.
