As you start to search his mind, you hear a deafening bang as an explosion goes off in the camp.

You hear the cocking of a gun as I walk out of the cockpit door. "Your friend's not dead if you wanna know, he's just having a nap in the cockpit." My gun is pointed right at the general's head. "Don't bother using a mind trick on me, I'll know. And he'll die as a result. Now the general is gonna answer my questions, you're gonna stay right there, and if all goes well, nobody's gonna have to die today. Both of you understand?" My face and tone are dead serious, you cal tell I'm not bluffing.
