Yes. It is a horrible, horrible experience that turns you into some sort disgusting hate filled creature. Once you get past that stage you're all good though.

Yep. Was vaping with 16mg (by volume) and wanted to see if I could stop and withstand the withdrawals. Stopped for 2 or 3 weeks, then started again.

I always wondered where the meaning of that phrase came from "cold turkey". Eh -blam!- it, ill google it.
-
I never started cause i'm not that dumb lmao
-
Throw it away
-
My big giant old neighbor used to tell me whenever people would say "Hey you wanna smoke?" he would be like SURE hed take the cigarette and break it in half and throw it on the ground when they handed it to him. LOL funny shit if you think about it
-
The only way to quit is cold turkey really otherwise you are just prolonging your "-blam!- it I dont need to quit" period The best thing to do like others said is to adjust your routines. Tobacco use is ALL ABOUT ROUTINE. For me its driving and smoking. I cant get in my car and drive somewhere without lighting up a smoke

I once quit turkey cold tobacco.

Yes, I had the habit for about 5 years. Also my aunt had the habit. We both quit cold turkey, not at the same time though. Do it, at the end it'll be worth it.

I did. Smoked for 30 years. At most 4 packs a day. Stopped cold turkey. Have quit many times before. Once for 2 years. This time is final. Had to change daily habits. No coffee. Wanted a smoke No beer n shots. Wanted a smoke. After meal smoke cravings went away when I started eating fresh fruit after a meal Gotta change the tastebuds.

My father, after like 40-50 years of smoking, quit cold turkey last year. He hasnt had a cig in 5 months. No tips, just sheer will power.
-
It helped for me to focus on what my body was craving and sort of call it out for what it was. That helped me sorta power through it until it was better, but I still get the craving every time I smell a cigarette. Even after 7 years. It'll be a good teaching point for my kids.

Edited by GrandmaBanjo69: 1/26/2016 10:42:03 PMI quit cold turkey about 9 years ago. I was bitchier than usual for a week and as long as you realize is happening and why, it's easy to keep a handle on it. It's harder if you live in denial of you nicotine-craving bitchfest. Other than that, not many tips I can give you except don't even have one. Don't bum one from someone, don't have one after a few drinks, don't do it. I ate a shitload of carrot sticks too, just to satisfy the freaky mouth/hand interaction craving that your brain tricks you into. Good luck. You're making a good decision. Edit: I quit smoking, that is. I never chewed.
