Socialism would ruin our country. Sure it fixes problems at first but look at the USSR back when it existed. It's economy was total crap. Everyone was poor, no one wanted to work, and the economy suffered.

How about a capitalist economy with socialist undertones to make sure people didn't have to work an insane amount of hours and were always in good health? Don't make it a comfy life just one that keeps people from unnecessary suffering.

USSR was Communism and the 1% in the ruling party probably lived pretty well. If we couldnt print money our economy would be complete crap too. http://www.usdebtclock.org/

What do you mean? I meant if we were to switch over to a socialistic economy it would temporarily fix it and then fall apart.

We just call it subsidies, tax breaks, incentives, Public Utilities Commissions, NFL, they are all forms of government control of our products and services. The Fed decides what industries it favors and which it wants to fade away. Free Market Capitalism is what our country needs, not more socialism.
