I'm confused when you say I will never be like them... Financially? If you think financial wealth is the sole criteria for someone to be like someone else then I feel sorry for you... And the more you use that rhetoric of people that will never be like anybody else due to their financial status, the more you are just promoting the stereotypes and division in this country that you don't believe in in the first place!

 • Ok...so there you are making your $42,000 for...I don't know...financial analysis or whatever. The CEO makes $10,000,000, albeit for making leadership decisions, but still, you're ok with that? And you're ok with shareholders just arbitrarily raising their pay? While relatively speaking, your pay stagnates?

 • What in the world is wrong with $42,000 a year!? Yeah it doesn't buy you a mansion and a private jet but who ever convinced you that isn't decent money has done you a grave disservice! And then if you perform well and do your job and work hard and don't quit just because you're bored or have some weird sense of economic injustice you'll get promoted and get raises and maybe one day, just maybe, you'll be ON that board of directors... This country was founded on the premise that everybody has an equal right to life, liberty, and the PURSUIT of happiness - NOT handouts of happiness and NOT the right to mansions, nice cars, and a piece of all the rich people's money...

 • Ah, so you've bought into the Republican "pursuit of happiness" BS, huh? Let me ask you something, do you ever think you'll be on the same level as Warren Buffett? Bill Gates? Carlos Slim (Mexican guy, but fits the narrative)? The Koch Brothers? Jeff Bezos? Second question: Are you ok with the fact that around 50 people have as much wealth as 2 billion others?

 • Right, because we deserve to be on the same level as people who created Microsoft and Amazon even though we have done nothing of the same magnitude. They've affected the world and shaped the past and future! Regardless of HOW MUCH wealth an individual has, you act like it was easy for them to obtain it. They definitely did not take it out of YOUR pocket. They created something people are WILLING to use and pay for. In addition, they provide hundreds of thousands of jobs to people to support their families. A business owner's responsibility is not to give to the poor, it's to keep their company thriving so that those they employ can continue to enjoy their lives, family and freedom. In turn, they grow their businesses to provide even more jobs for those willing to work for it. BTW, have you SEEN what Bill Gates has done philanthropically? Or what Elon Musk is doing with SpaceX (privately funded!) in order to further improve technology and space travel to benefit humanity as a whole? Just people people do not NEED immense wealth, some still do deserve it and with it they can do great things. 50 people may have as much as 2 billion, but the top 10% also pay 68% of ALL income taxes, how much more do you want? The bottom 50% paid 3% of all income taxes in 2011, under the Obama administration. "Do you favor higher taxes on someone else as long as you are not affected?". It could be followed by a second question that asks: "What if you received some of the higher taxes on someone else?" The answer would show us how badly the people in this country have been indoctrinated by the liberals and how morally bankrupt we have become. The second question directly ties into forcible wealth redistribution. My fear is that a majority would answer "yes" to the first questions and even more would say "yes" to the second. I own a business, my responsibility is to keep my business alive so that my employees can continue to feed, entertain and maintain their families. Even though I'm sitting here reading Destiny forums, these jobs and opportunities that I CREATED would not exist without me, and I deserve to be paid for that.
