Rocket yards was the best until the taken started spawning there every 5 minutes.
I've had good luck in the mothyards.
Two tips.
1)equip a ghost with the spinmetal sensor perk. Shaxx usually has one for sale.
2)equip a sniper.
When you aim down scope it will show far away node locations. Sparrow to them and profit.

I had the one time I was trying to kill enemies... and I went to the mothyards, and literally 0 enemies were there. Nothing was there, no guardians, no enemies... it was like that glitch with the tower, except at the mothyards, which seems even creepier.

That is a huge area to be alone in... I could see that as creepy....
