So after playing about 12 hours of the beta and about half that in the Dark zone. I've noticed something peculiar about the apparent "rogue" agents you run into. Now you may be thinking well they're just bad guys stealing loot right? Wrong
6 out of 10 times I wind up seeing someone going for revenge on someone that previously stole from them. This is generally who the rogue will be. The very same thing has happened to me about 3 times now. I'll go for the extraction then the random guy that seems friendly with his lovely jumping jacks decides to show up. Share a few jumps and jacks and then there goes the gun aimed at you. See their trick is getting you to shoot first so none of the blame goes on them. Literally this pvp is full of people killing the wrong people it's crazy how this game works
Basically people are dicks for equipment that isn't really all that good
-
Fairy ppl are jerks in the dark zones? You mean the ones where killing other plays can help you get gear?? No way
-
I kill every rouge agent. Idc, I hate those dudes. I got with a team of 4 and we wreck every group of rouges.
-
My only problem has been when I've accidentally gone rouge from shooting someone that walks in front of me firing. Then everyone turns and kills me.
-
The problem to me is simple. Let's say every DZ holds about 20 people. There is more than enough loot for everyone. If no one ever went rogue, everyone would still have plenty of loot for each person.
-
Never trust anybody who you do not know in this game. Keep your sights on unknown players, stay in cover.
-
Yeah, I hunted a pair of people that had taken my equipment from when I previously died, they opened fire when I got there, so I killed them both, escaped and managed to evade everyone whilst I cycled round the extraction points. It Was pretty thrilling I have to say.
-
I found a m249 heavy machine gun and added an extended mag. No problem after that. Lol I'm sure it will be nerfed before release.
-
I think that's kind of the point. You're supposed to choose wisely.
-
You needs be more fluid in play style and -blam!- jumping jacks. If solo call it in and get away and hide till just before In a team lock down the area if ppl do come in move so they don't flank and keep apart from each of your team.

Edited by Fallacy: 1/30/2016 12:33:58 PMI was able to get a whole DZ lobby banded together and we all shared the LZ... I didn't think it would be possible but it worked. It ended up completely breaking the whole system and everyone ranked up extremely fast to cap. Way faster than fighting with each other over crap loot. The best loot in the DZ is bought anyways... And in the end, almost everyone had some gold gear. Everyone getting along like that was definitely a rare moment. Typically people just kill people to be killing them, regardless if they have loot. People can even camp the entrances to the DZ... I've been in one where all entrances were locked down and you couldn't make it but a few feet out the door. This game needs some serious work before I even start to consider purchasing.

I've noticed a giant group of players roaming and jumping extractions Or one random guy who is cool But marked for rogue most likely because of a revenge kill They say the best loot comes from the dark zone And that's supposedly the end game area But why the hell should I go out there when I'll just get jumped every time I call for an extraction Had such high hopes for the division :/

Watched a stream of it last night. The player went from going for loot to fighting people who may have exploiting glitches to trying to go rogue to trying to kill this one player again and again because he decided to go rogue just in time to take all the loot for himself during one extraction. Ended up having a series of moment where he and his friends would end up having a friendly greeting with the steamer and his partner, one of his mods, followed by them going rogue just to kill that one guy and then trying to escape (in one case they ended up beating the whole group even though it was two of them against a team of 4).

Every open world pvp ever

I just hunt down any rouges for easy money. Bought a High End weapon and Purple SMG plus gear that boosts my health to about 7k.

Yeah I've noticed this too. Sometimes you have to know when to fight and when to run. Sometimes it's best to let the other guy shoot you, so they go Rogue and then clean up. Use your numbers advantage if you've got friends with you(you should have people you can trust with you in the DZ) and don't be afraid to fight for the gear you've got. Extract your gear and then go find a place to hold up and let your Rogue status run out or lose the heat on you. Run/Hide/Fight is my motto unless I'm extracting something I want. Then I change it up as necessary.

Nah I just shoot people
