I have spent the last 6 days playing this game mode. Love Iron Banner, love how it fills the Crucible with players of all skills in one concise game type. I disliked IB Clash as it was slow paced and matches were too long and I barely played due to boredom. IB Control is the purest. Easy to pick up and play, conscious goal to work towards and downright fun. IB Rift is by far the most exasperating, infuriating mode so far. It is a crock of shit. Thank you for trying new things but never again, please. These are my personal gametype issues: 1) Do not match 6 random people with a fireteam of 6. 2) Why is it when someone picks up the Spark does connections drop? 3) Skill based matchmaking is currently a joke. 4) Connection based matchmaking is better but needs vast improvement 5) Issues with skill/connection based matchmaking worsened after 1/29 6) Remove players with bad connections from matchmaking period. I have ran into many fireteams of 6 that all have beautiful connections except 1 who is 'redbarring' and that person is used to run the spark because they phase through walls, teleport and in rare cases do not receive damage. Kick these people to orbit and fill in the empty spot with a random. 7) Rift is very one sided. Either you win by 10k points or you lose by 10k there seems to be little in between. 8) Rift is incredibly unfair to solo players, IB is one of the only ways a solo player can get good light leveled loot, and last I checked only a small percentage of people have been able to complete the raid which was due to many players not being able to find a team. Why introduce a team-focused mode then? 9) RNG is better but still sucks - 7 drops across 3 characters including my Rank 5 packages 10) Rift sucks. Rename Hoover. PS. Why does getting shot by an automatic weapon slow your movement speed? Why do scout rifles have flinch but it is nearly nonexistent with sniper rifles?
