I QUIT Destiny

About a year ago. I bought it because my friends had it and raved so much about it so I got it. Didn't play much at all. Was a level 18 because they just drug me through story missions without me getting into it. It was kind of mundane and I barely scraped the surface. I went back to playing whatever I was at the time, assassins creed probably. A few months later my fiancee (then girlfriend) moves in and as you married folk know you start to learn more and more about someone as you live with them. Turns out she's a hibernating gamer! She was in college and wanted to focus on her studies, graduated a couple years ago from UCONN with a bachelors degree. So we started playing some co-op split screen games. Diablo 3, Rayman Legends, and finally Borderlands 2 (which I have ran through COUNTLESS times with other friends). Borderlands was great and all, but something we needed our own screen for. Darn, guess we will just get you your own xbox and TV! Well that was the beginning of something AMAZING. Borderlands 2 was about 2 months of our time, followed by the Pre-Sequel. While looking for similar games to play together I remembered I had Destiny, and I had seen a lot about a new DLC pack, the biggest they had released yet : TTK. We installed it on her box and we played a bit. It was fun but we still had some borderlands to explore and DLC packs to finish there. Afterwards we got into Destiny around September according to my achievements. I started February of last year, that's when my first recorded achievements were. Here we are 4 months later and every weekend, every free hour, every day off has been spent side by side defeating Oryx's minions and wreaking havoc in the crucible. So thank you Bungie, the game you have created has not only been an immense amount of enjoyment, but also a bonding ritual for me and the woman who will become my wife in just 4 short months. Regardless of what happens in the future with your game and any changes we do or don't like, the time we HAVE put into the game has been so much fun. Even with all the salt and anger thrown around by SOME members of the community, I find nothing but enjoyment playing this game, and will continue to do so for quite some time. TLDR; I left when I didn't truly get what Destiny had to offer, and when I came back and realized it's been the most fun I have ever had of any game!
