I thought defender is the first subclass available to Titans. Has that changed?

My apologies for not remembering properly it's been a long time since I created my Titan

You can choose to work on either striker or defender But you have to do that TTK mission to unlock the 3rd sub class

Only once you get your first character to level 15 can you choose defender. If titan is your first character and it isn't level 15 you can only use striker untill then.
