I'm trying to pick the brains of people who regularly use LFG for Trials as I find Stats and Emblems a nightmare to Navigate. I have a clan but they don’t like trials as much as I do so I’m often playing the forum lottery to find cool teams for competitive runs.
Personally I tend to avoid teams who demand an emblem or threaten to kick for certain things more because I find emblems are a bit pretentious and anyone who threatens to kick tend to be a bit of an idiot and not someone I want to spend an hour listening to.
Can anyone explain to me what ELO is in layman's terms and what its significance is? https://guardian.gg/en/faq full definition
Secondly which ELO would you use? Destiny Tracker or Guardian GG?
Do you think DTR Level is important? If so why?
What is the minimum K/D you would accept in your teams?
Do you scrutinise stats / weapons / sub -classes before adding or inviting someone to your team?
I appreciate everyone will have their own mechanisms for this so I am keen to hear these with a bit of substance.
I'm looking forward to hearing your feedback and thoughts on whats successful for you and why

A few Edits thanks to Sazomi and others
ELO is highly based on your wins, not so much k/d.
Beat players with higher elo and it jumps about 3-8 points.
Beat players with higher elo while on a streak pass 9-0 and it jumps about 5-10 points.
Lose to players with lower elo and you get hit by about 10-20 points depending on the difference.
Best websites for assessing your opposition and potential teammates performances

Its good to see this forum being so helpful and non toxic, I think that's largely because most of the people who have contributed to this still actually play the game.
Keep up the good work.,

I have had my share of LFG experiences and have definitely learned a few things that may help. 1. I have found the people demanding Emblems, ELO ratings, K/D's, ETC... TO BE SUPER FRUSTRATING TO PLAY WITH! They tend to get frustrated really quickly and start yelling, or at the least they are not a positive influence for the team. 2. If you find some guys you get along with, friend them and set up future times to play and build good teamwork. 3. Any of your existing friends that aren't super try hard PVPers, take them along for some trials runs, they may just really enjoy it and work hard to get better. I now play consistently with a guy that had a really negative K/D because he just didn't like Crucible much. It took some patience and alot of helping him understand the game, but he steadily improved and was able to make it to the lighthouse. I actually was more excited to get him there for the first time than I ever have been for my flawless runs. 4. Talk about your failures and celebrate your/your teammates successes. If you fail in a clutch moment or against a particular play style, take a minute to discuss what to do next time that happens. If a teammate pulls off a nice 1v2 or 1v3 or just makes a really smart play, let them know it! Everyone likes to have those moments and it will help build their confidence. 5. Know when it just isn't working. If you get paired up with one or two of the aforementioned angry, frustrated types, feel free to politely excuse yourself from the abuse, trust me when I say it doesn't get better with more games played. (you may not have to leave, I was once kicked after one game and then proceeded to go flawless with a couple of chill LFGers right after that)
