I came across the survey Bungie recently asked about why players stopped playing Destiny, but cannot find where it is. So, I will post it here. I would like to add that I have been a huge Bungie/Halo fan since Halo CE, and genuinely loved playing Destiny.
The main reason I quit playing destiny is simply the price of DLC's. Here is my scenario. I bought the limited edition Destiny at midnight when it was released for $100. This included what I thought was an entire game plus any DLC's it may have. Bungie comes out a year into the game and says they are releasing another DLC for an additional $40. Lets do the math for a second. That would bring our total to $140 for one video game. $140! For ONE game! The DLC now outweighs the game cost $80-$60. Most retail games release for $60. This means Destiny would cost over double the cost of any other game. I could buy Halo 5 and BLOPs 3 for less than just Destiny. After spending $100 on which ended up being half a game, I do not see myself ever going back to Destiny.
I for one am outraged and disgusted that a company can be so greedy and treat their fans with such disrespect.
Sincerely,

I don't see a problem with paid dlc. As long as it's consistent.
