I think they are desperate to keep what's left of the player base before moving on to pve stuff to bring players back. My bet is that they have cut their pve player losses and will only focus on pvp until Destiny two, which will bring back vets as well as new blood. From there they can try for pve retention. It's easier to build a new ship then to raise one that has already sunk.

If they coast on PvP until Destiny 2, it's not going to bring back anyone. Too many people are already pissed at the mishandling of the franchise and will simply move on.
-
Nah, people say that but statistically and historically that's not true. As soon as they release destiny 2 most will return.

yes cause lets see....half my friends list didnt return for TTK. Some sold the game and swore bungie could go f themselves....so your logic based on my pool of data and my fl is wrong. Also my friends who were pvp centric....all left destiny and play COD now.

I don't know about that. They would either have to do a complete 180, hiring new lead designers and such and reverse some of the incomprehensible decisions that the current group is making, or they'd have to release at a time when there was literally nothing else for people to play.
