You contradicted your title in the first sentence: if they completely abandoned it, then they wouldn't have fixed the couple raid glitches right? But i know, that's not what you meant lol. Anyway, yall keep saying they've given up on pve, when things have shown they haven't, they just haven't released a major dlc, which they said they wouldn't do. You know why? Cause that's an unsustainable model and they realized that. To create a full game every 2-3 years, 2 major dlcs every year in the years between those full games, and events here and there every couple months is bold as hell, but it's unsustainable. That's why other mmos don't do it. As for my they keep doing shit for pvp: it's cause that's easier to create things for and it keeps interest in your game until you have new content to drop for the pve side. Yall just gotta be patience, shit is coming.

"That's why other mmos don't do it." Destiny isn't a MMO, so...

  • It's not unsustainable if you have a clear vision, and enough lead time. They botched that by changing everything right before release. I'm hoping they are using this gap before Destiny 2 to revive their original expansion goals.

  • Vision has nothing to do with. You can have a clear vision and it's still unsustainable. Do you know how much work, money, hours, etc. would go into that model? That's why no other game does that. That's why after the first year, they changed it. I do think they gonna change the model when destiny 2 drops, but it's not gonna be the one they originally planned.

  • By vision, I I mean preparation. If you know what the game should look like in the years, you can stay well ahead of the release schedule and on pace. If you constantly move the goal posts, it all falls apart, which is exactly what happened.

I understood what you meant, just saying: Before you start whatever it is, you can have a plan; but after you start, you need to be able to adapt/change that plan cause it doesn't always go the way you thought. And that's what has happened to bungie. They had a plan/vision, but once they started destiny, they realized that plan was unsustainable, and have had to re-adjust. Which you can tell they are doing, but us (gamers) aren't given them the time to adjust, we want shit now, instant gratification, and that shit isn't realistic. But we don't care, if we don't get what we want, we come to the boards and complain, demand shit, insult bungie, etc., which is stupid.
