He looked at the patch and tattoo, thinking about what they could mean. The man felt for his pistol as he began to speak, playing it off like he was reaching for a phone.
"You're obviously a soldier, correct?"
English
-
'Was for a while, then i left and signed up for the RDA Security Force. Seen some of the toughest damn jungle in the universe. And i know better than to think you're doing something other than reaching for your gun as a precaution.'
-
He chuckled a bit, sipping his glass of whiskey afterwards. "You're good, very good. I thought that'd go unnoticed....anyways...you looking to get back into the offensive side of the fight?" He set the whiskey down and looked over at the man.
-
'Depends on the job. I've got enough money to retire and start a family, and fund a small army while I'm at it. It would have to be a very good reason for me to go back to fighting. Polyphemus took a lot more out of me than blood and sweat.'
-
"Well, you're in luck. I might know a way to get you a chance to strike him back, and hard." He downs the rest of the glass, almost like to emphasize on that sentence.
-
'Polyphemus was no man, it was a planet, around which that goddamned moon floated. Never seen a place as awe-inspiring, or deadly. Didn't know what i was really there for, right up until the end. Then it hit me, and i felt like some kind of inhuman monstrosity.' The man grabs his own drink, and finishes it.
-
"I'm sorry for your loss...but, I heard those gunshots and saw the bodies. Good kills. My friends and I could use your talent....what do you say?" He extends his hand.
-
'Good kills my ass, a bunch of stupid assholes what made us contractors look bad. Hardly worth the lead, but someone needed to do it. And I'm almost positive that I'm not interested, you haven't even told me what kind of work you're doing.'
-
He looks around before he speaks, shaking his head as he looked at the door. He made a motion at the bartender to leave and he did, walking down to the other end of the bar. He spoke low, quietly to keep the words out of other's ears. "I'm Dan Ericsson, leader of the Rebellion. I have guards in every corner of the building, so don't try anything if you're thinking about it. So, I'm looking to recruit you for the Rebellion. You'll probably be assigned to footsoldier kinda work, but I see a possibility of at least a Staff Sergeant."
-
'Oh, i see, the rebels fighting back against those damn Feds? I don't see why you're on Mar Sara then, this is a free planet, we took it fair and square when the colonies first started.'
-
"Just out for a drink, looking for recruits, maybe women." He chuckles a bit, stealing a pair of beers from across the counter. He hands one to you and opens his own, taking a sip.
-
The man holds a hand up, passing. 'No, no more for me, i try to limit myself now. Had an issue with alcohol a while back, just got clear of it.'
-
"I understand." He slides the beer down the other way, another man taking it and nodding towards Dan. He nods back, then turns back to you. "Anyways, would you be interested?"
-
'That depends. I've got my own equipment, and i much prefer it to all else, so I'd be working as an outside Contractor. If you lose, then I'll be clear of all responsibility, i was just doing what i was paid to do. If you win, i want a decent payment for it.'
-
"You will be payed very handsomely, when we win."
-
'I expected nothing less from a group of rebels, you've not got a solid flow of funds. If you were a corporation, then it'd cash paid for time working. I'll think it over, where is your mustering point, thats where I'll head if i decide for it.'
-
He looks around yet again, seeing at least 20 feet of distance in all directions. No one was in earshot. "Tenalis, 45 degrees east, 61 north. Firebase Smoker. You'll see a village, go to the library and speak to the librarian. Code word is Firecracker." He sipped at his beer yet again, breaking eye contact.
-
'Won't need a password, you'll know its me when i show up. Anyways, its smart to keep troops here, seeing as the Feds know we'll start bombing their capitals if they try to take away our independence or invade looking for people.'
-
"Yeah...it's not many here, but it'll have to do." He begins to stand, 2 guards from each corner of the cube-shaped building stand from their drinks, all of them wearing tactical vests and hoodies.

Edited by Sigmar: 2/6/2016 2:56:57 AM'Well, make sure you can keep a supply line open to Mar Sara if you leave, i purchase all my equipment from the people here, it is my home after all.'
-
"I will. Think my offer over, I'll be doing my sweep of the facilities soon." He smiled as he walked towards the door, the guards following him.
-
'I'll be there shortly, to take a look at what exactly I'll be working with.'
I'll make a new post, then another for RPers that are already in with the Rebels
