Stop -blam!-ing Smoking
It pisses me off how every time I do a raid there is that one douche who says, "I gotta smoke" or "Gimme a minute hit the bong" and everyone ends up waiting ten -blam!-ing minutes. Can you not wait 30 to smoke or do whatever the shit you are doing? I can get married and raise a family in the time it takes you to smoke. I just want to get the raid done, not sit around making awkward smalltalk with these people who are going to quit if you don't -blam!-ing come back after a reasonable amount of time. so please for the love of god, wait or actually take as long as you said you would.
In fact any break that takes longer than 5 minutes pisses me off. What are you doing? There is no fun in waiting I can tell you that.

Yea and don't get up to use the bathroom either if you don't have empty bottles and jars to use then you need to get your priorities together.......

Had a tank that was notorious for doing this back when I played WoW. Even better when he simply wouldn't let anyone know and just up & vanish. It was infuriating when he would damn near ask for a smoke break after every single pull. Even more-so when he didn't tell you and we would try to pull raid bosses and find out he wasn't there anymore because he stepped out for a smoke.

The only time I've ever had a problem with it... I don't know what he was doing, but it sure as hell wasn't weed. We gave a five minute break, go pee, smoke, whatever... I don't care. This guy comes back, we start planning our next step... Guy was literally falling asleep in the middle of his *own* sentences. Then he'd wake up and think we were starting the section we had just finished. I don't know what you were on bro, but it isn't healthy. However it was late, we didn't want to take time to find anybody else, so we let him die and sleep and finished anyway. He probably woke up with no clue where that loot came from. :-)

I'm high level and I'm usually not getting rewards (do the raid at least 6 times a week, helping friends). I'm gonna blow past the exotic chest, sit my ass down and go out for a smoke. If you have to wait 60 sec at the door I could careless because I'm wasting more of my time than yours.

Fun fact, 95% of the time. There's at least 1 person in my "random" raid group hitting a bong when we first start and hit oryx. As long as they don't cause us to wipe, who gives a fuk right?

1 ReplyI think you need to hit the bong and chill out. It's all for fun...if that's the only thing wrong with your raid group....I must....say you don't have much to complain about...yeah, they should be a little more courteous....but try not to let it ruin your fun.

My raid group takes a break in the middle for 5-10 mins and than takes 1 right before oryx. This isn't a job. It's leisure time for most. Smoking if you like it is part of leisure time. I set guidelines like the 2 breaks in the raid. Also the breaks help believe it or not. If people get burned out the raid won't get done. I also have a group where we speed run oryx. We have the whole raid down with all the challenges war priest gogo and oryx and we do the raid in under 1 hour no breaks.

Whenever anyone asked if they can go for a smoke break on oryx I just don't say anything and then start it as soon as possible and if they aren't ready we kick them.

1 ReplyThe best one happened a few weeks ago. Me and couple friends hits lfg gets 3 random guys. All seemed well got to daughters and some guy says can we have little break needs to pick kids up from school. So we all like we're how long is that gonna take he replies 10-15 mins were like ok yeah. So we're waiting and waiting 30 mins have pasted. He finally turns up and says usual sorry bout that guys. We're like we was about to replace you. So we starts again wipes first time silly mistake then he says two mins. And that's it he's gone again. 20 mins later he's back. Sorry was helping kids with homework. So now I'm a bit annoyed with him. So we starts again does daughters. Starts oryx doing 8 and 8 strat first 8 done fine then suddenly two jump up two jump he's gone again. Kicks him out replaced him but left him in party chat. Finished raid. We all switching to start fresh. Starts fresh gets to golgoroth then here's a mic switch on and sorry guys was bathing the kids should I rejoin. Lol nope my friend says we finished it. He gets all serious starts saying were out of order it's people like us why others can't complete this thing. So yeah 5 mins smoke break think yourself lucky you didn't meet that guy
