Return?
The large dreadnought dropped from warp. The crew aboard were silently going about their tasks. The commanding officer stood on the command deck, overseeing it all and looking out into space. He'd been gone for quite some time. His people had needed him, now, his curiosity got the better of him. The commissioning of a new dreadnought class gave him an excuse to venture to the sol system. The maiden voyage of the Red October was progressing as planed. He spoke to no one in particular.
"What have I missed?"

"Pavel. You've certainly missed a bit." A cold, metallic voice is heard from behind you, though faintly familiar; JT, the Champion of the NTR.
-
"Ah, JT. How are you my friend? And how did you get on my ship?" He says turning around.
-
"The tech we have certainly has progressed. And you seem to forget I'm a literal dead man walking, heat sensors don't pick me up" He says, his old, tattered cloak shrouding his face in darkness.
-
"It seems our peoples have gone two very different ways. Can you give me the run down of what's happened? Where is everyone?"
-
"Mandalore, Jack and Varn are..." He says, trailing off. "Mandalore was executed by a terrorist and his son took his place, Jack died in an assault on that terrorist, and Varn went rampant. In other news, I gave up most of my god good, found out it was a machine letting me open portals, and the Space Marine is nowhere to be seen. That a good explanation?"
-
He nods. "It seems my absence was unfortunate. For years I spent time in a PAC prison on theta seven. When I was rescued I had to tend to my people. It has been a difficult time."
-
"Well damn, meanwhile I'm just over here, literally dying and coming back, seeing my friends die and go MIA, and STILL coming back for more. Shit, you got any way of finding that damn Marine? We need all the help we can get. I feel a storm brewing"
-
"I've not seen him for sometime, but I have a few ideas on how to get to him."
-
"Let's hear them then"
-
"The void wolves have a home world somewhere. It will take some time but I will be able to find it."
-
"Ah yes, alternate dimension me heard of that place once. Fenris if I'm right, yes?"
-
"Da, that's the one."
-
"Aye. Well, contact me when you find him. Oh, and one more thing. Remember the Hunters Legion?"
-
"No I don't recall them."
-
"My group, the ones that died off? Well some dumbass with a death wish joined that. You know any good training tactics, I've been shitty at training recruits for years?"
-
"Ah yes, I remember now. And yes I know good training programs. I'll have my military send over the proper files."
-
"Thank you. I'll speak to you on board the Goliath of you wish to converse, as the Alamo is missing somehow. How we lose a military grade warship is beyond me..." He says, opening a voidic warp behind him and jumping in backwards, closing it shortly after. ((End))
