Naw, don't work for bungie. And no, that's not the only reason, but the tech differences between the old/new gens does have say as to what they can actually put in the game. That's why I said when they only focus on the new/current gen of consoles, they'll probably be able to do a lot more/input a lot of shit people are asking for cause of the better tech.
You're right, destiny 2 will be a whole different game, but it'll still be in the destiny franchise and what we've done so far in destiny 1 will carry over. It'll be like your character carrying over in the mass effect series. That's why I think you and others took that '10 year' shit the wrong way. They weren't saying we'd be playing the same game for 10 years, they said we'd be playing the destiny experience for 10 years. Meaning, they were just stating the franchise is gonna be 10 years long and that they should be providing content for 10 years.
And no, their plan isn't to turn it into a pvp only, they've shown that. Right now you can tell they've had to adjust their original plan, and they are using pvp to keep interest in destiny, while giving themselves time to make those adjustments.
When destiny 2 comes out, most of yall complaints will be addressed. Than yall can think of new ones to scream about lol.
