Let's suppose for a moment that you suddenly find yourself the proud owner of a swanky new pharmaceutical company and you've just obtained the rights to a life-saving drug. Initially, one could obtain this drug for a reasonably low price. Now that you're in control of it, however, you decide to jack up the price. A lot. A price increase of 5500% to be precise.
Could you morally justify your reasons for doing this?

The guy is a douche, no question there. BUT, no one seems to be concerned that what he did is not at all new in the pharmaceutical realm. Not to mention more than likely those who were grilling him at the hearing were or are still receiving political contributions from pharmaceutical giants. The same companies that would rather keep you ill for the profits rather than actually seek actual 'cure', not matter how much the claim to do otherwise. Fwiw it appears they were just using him as a scapegoat to flog because it was easy and made them all look like they were doing something for the people. I don't believe it made any difference what so ever and was all just political deflection.
