So.. Cozmo, have you lied?
So.. is it true? Is the Bungie team abusing the RNG system to make the game 'longer' to complete, to compensate the lack of content in the game?
For the players that do not know what i'm saying, i'll past here what i wrote in a precedent post.
Every time Xur brings Special Weapons Legacy Engrams there are many threads about them.
Someone says 'they are bugged', someone says 'no they aren't'.
So, this time, I'll try to do a simple thread, writing real objective proofs about those discussed engrams.
[b]These are my reasons why I think those engrams are bugged:[/b]
1. I have done many research about legacy engrams, and i have not seen [u]ONE THREAD[/u] with gripes about ANY OTHER type of legacy engrams, but Special Weapons. This can be a little alarm signal, but it doesn't mean necessarily that they have a trouble. So there are my other reasons. (I challenge everyone to find a post with troubles about other types of Legacy Engrams).

In this video, if you go at minute 5 (audio required), you will see the player buying some Special Weapons Legacy Engrams and decrypting them.
According to what Tyson Green and Mark Noseworthy said before the 2.0 came out, [b]they strongly bias towards Exotics not already in your Blueprint Collection, to help fill in the blank slots[/b]. According to the video, it doesn't seem at all for those engrams.
BUT, it's only an example. SO there are other reasons.
3. [b][u]My personal experience.[/u][/b]:
-I have bought two Heavy W. Legacy Engrams, and i got two weapons i didn't have before.
-I have bought five Primary W. Legacy Engrams, and i got only weapons i didn't have (this sound crazy, but trust me, i have no reason to lie.
-I have bought TEN Special W. Legacy Engrams. I was missing The 4th Horseman, Dreg's Promise, Lord of Wolves and QBB.
Those are my drops: Dreg's Promise, 4th Horseman, 4x Dreg's Promise, 2x Lord of Wolves, Dreg's Promise, Lord of Wolves.
(again, i have no reason to lie.)
-Unfortunately, i have not any feedback about Armor Engrams.
4. [b][u]Old post with feedback of other players.[/u][/b]: I have not bought ten engrams this Xursday, this is the sum of many attempts during other Xursday and today. In the post i linked there is a Doc file where is collected all the feedback he gathered from other players. For who don't want to open the link, the summary is that [b]95% of those engrams are decrypting into a random PoE exotic.[/b] For me, the percentual is too high to be real, but the document inside says it.
6. In 2/5/2016, i made a post in Reddit, where i recommended other players to not buy Special Weapons Legacy Engrams this Xursday... and you can see what happened here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/44abrm/do_not_buy_special_weapons_legacy_engrams_they/
The summary is... more than 400 comments with players feedback about that, with the most of them saying that they are broken. Go see the post.. it's a huge proof.

You haven't done that at all. In the patch notes of today there's nothing about that.
I do not make hasty conclusions... the title remains an open question you may respond.

72 RepliesI didn't lie, I reported this and have been waiting on confirmation. Just got it today. There is an issue with Special Weapon Legacy engrams and we are currently investigating further.

I was missing 4 special legacy weapons last week, only took 5 engrams from xur, that's not bad in my book

I give him credit for responding. He also responds more than other Bungie employees. Bungie has it's issues, Destiny has had many bugs. You can't blame DeeJ or Cozmo. I think they're doing a pretty good job. Just because Bungie doesn't add things the comunity wants does [u]not[/u] mean that DeeJ/Cozmo don't relay info. It means Bungie has their hands tied, don't want to add it/fix it, too little staff working on Destiny 1 or some other reason. DeeJ is great about giving info on what he can give. He's excited, he's interested. That's what you want in someone talking about your game. You don't want a dead wait with no personality talking about your project. Give them some credit. Look what type of people they have to deal with. Constant complainers that can never be pleased. People constantly wanting more. You can't just keep giving more and more. Destiny 1 is pretty much over. It's not a good business move to put most of your effort into the old game when they drastically need to improve on what was made. I'd rather have most of the Bunie devs working on 2 rather than 1 that can't really be improved unless it takes a year or so. Props for DeeJ and Cozmo for sticking it out with a often toxic community.

Question: Lets ignore the fact that this is a known bug. How exactly does this constitute tweaking the RNG system to make the game longer to complete? It's a [u]legacy[/u] engram with obsolete weapons. It holds back nothing. That's like the worst sinister plan in the history of incompetent preschool cartoon villains.

8 RepliesDon't shoot the messenger. Cozmo can only relay feedback or information to the Dev's. The dev's are the ones who make a decision on what issues to address. If they are intentionally doing this to string out the life of TTK, then it's the dev's fault, not Cozmo's. Even if Cozmo said it will be addressed, that doesn't mean they will address it on a timeline acceptable to Cozmo (or us for that matter).

Sorry but these "LIE" posts are really ridiculous. If they did lie before, don't you think they're trying to save face now? Besides as Cozmo said he reported it. Until you had heard otherwise how exactly can you accuse him of lying. Was he like "No, sorry this isn't a bug"? That would have been a lie, but no, that's not at all what he said.

The only thing making the game last longer is no totem challenge. No witches challenge. That's smart. Two pieces of gear with an extremely low chance to drop to keep you coming back. Its a 5% chance at 319

I thought Dreg's, Wolves Bane, and QB were only available through POE? Why would those be available through legacy, if Mythoclast and Necrochasm aren't?

If we really want to get into extending duration of the game, lets talk about how you just had to play to get an exotic in y1. And how crazy hyped people were to get Gjalla. That's carrot on a stick design, but now there are many purples that are equally great to use in pve/pvp. Feel like a good purple is a bit more valuable in y2 than having all the exotics.

Bungie is losing out on money by being hush mouthed and not releasing any substantial dlc in almost 6 months now and it seems like they don't even give a -blam!-.

2 RepliesUmmm... everyone knows that they use RNG to artificially inflate game time. It's in their contract with activision to get so many in game logged hours from the player base. I don't think they've ever denied it either. I thought everyone knew this already?????
