I'm enjoying the game mode itself. 2v2 is a lot of fun. And despite not considering myself a good PvP player, I am doing very well at it (9-2 maybe?). Buuuuttttttt, the rewards are garbage. I've yet to get a ghost shell at any light. There is only one set of bounties for the whole week and I only have one left to complete. Moreover on the bounties, I got 4 boot engrams and 1 class item engram from the 4 normal ones and an f'ing Next Big Thing and "Safe" emote from the main bounty. So far the emblem and the two shaders are the only decent thing I've gotten. Not impressed with the loot, especially given the preassembled fireteam requirement. Overall, its a fun game mode if you have a friend on to play with, but this event is extremely shallow and not well planned out, IMO. The execution of the decorations is even poor, you can see the only plants poking out above the roses in the tower. If this is the kind of thing Bungie is going to use to hold us over until the fall, they better tighten it up and make them a bit deeper. I've done 99% of everything there is to after just one day.
