Destiny 2 Coming 2017. And BIG 2016 Expansion coming later this year!

I hope it's a Free expansion (probably not). We've spent loads of money though.
Overall I hope the expansion out does every other expansion for this game as a ode to the conclusion of Destiny 1.

Free? lol.....They've seen how much money they can make by charging $5 for a stupid dance emote, there's no way the expansion will be free. Not getting my hopes up from a few vague sentences though, wouldn't be the first time they generated a bunch of hype and failed to deliver...If they try some $40 bullshit like ttk I don't even think I'll bother though, too many other games I'll be playing by then.

Free expansion? lol This expansion will most likely come out in September to start year 3. The spring update will probably be the last major update until this expansion comes out.

I would have said "Excited" but it wasn't an option. I have no idea what that other word is. Kidding. Looking forward to more pve content, it'll be a reason to have a break from the other games I've been playing. It won't, and shouldn't, be free. If we paid a subscription fee then it would be rolled into that. But, we don't. They work, they deserve to get paid. I'm used to paid services thanks to FFXIV and SWTOR. They're both technically free to play but a subscription means more regular content and you don't pay for each expansion. However, I can say that I won't be pre-ordering. They fooled me once, won't happen again.

13 RepliesI don't get why people are so happy. They had already given us this information indirectly about a month ago. Now, they put it in an update and everyone loses their shit. They should have highlighted this about a month ago when pve started dying. They tell us directly a month later that we're getting those expansions in another few months... And everyone thinks that they've changed anything. Wtf.

The ones that are happy about this news are either -blam!-ing noobs or players who are so infatuated with the game. Destiny died a year ago and needs to be taken down. Guarantee that Bungie will not learn from their mistakes and will continue ruining the Destiny so called franchise that is to come.

If I was guessing, the first update in the spring will be free, and involve updating Crota and VOG to year 2, maybe even a year 2 POE mode. I suspect the second expansion in the fall and is more likely to be paid, but will probably have a new raid.
