Thorn is op or not
Edit: I made a normal poll to see opinion of community. Totally forgot about how many 12 year old salty turds exist here. Without reading anything, they are telling me go to year 1 and other crap.
I am year 1. I have 2300+ hours in game. Have 7000 kills with thorn in year 1.
All of you turds who are telling me how it was op, this poll is not saying what was op year 1 or year 2.
Compare thorn in year 2 with other exotic weapons like red death, suros, boolean gemini.
Why I think thorn is op.
3 shot body shot with fastest fire rate hand cannon. Which usually is 4-5
Tracks enemy.
Stop recovery for 7 effing seconds
All of you who are telling me you can counter it, for sure you can counter it. Problem is, most probably it will still kill you if other person is even half decent.
Please post your honest opinion. Now by honest I mean honest.
If you use it and like it, it's good but that won't change the fact that it's not op.

This is coming from someone who used the shit out of it in Year 1 when it was just way to good. Its still has amazing range BUT you cant spam shots like you use to be able to othewise it becomes really inaccurate, it still hits hard but the DoT is perfect in my opinion and its rare that it kills me or when im using it kills others. Rather then DoT always killing people i find that the 3rd or 4th shot is killing them which is how the gun should be.

It's a pest!! It combines way too many good stats! I say cut the range in half, less stability and give it back its 6 round mag. Then maybe it's a bit more balanced, right now it's a PEST!!!

48 RepliesI've never liked the gun, the burn is just out of place in destiny and always will be. After its buff in Y1 it was a beast, at the min it's quite balanced, although I think making the burn only proc on crit shots would really bring it into line and make it viable to bring out a Y2 version without it being king again.

3 RepliesAll these people complaining don't play crucible regularly. Your only seeing Thorn because your playing doubles. In regular crucible Thorn is out there quite often because light levels are not enabled. Get over it... I used it for the bounties but I also murdered people with necrocasm, nerwins, hopscotch, mida, atheons.... Do you want to cry about all of those? Necrocasm has the same rof as doctrine but more impact and great stability. Play normal crucible then come up with a valid argument

Why are we polling a nerfed y1 weapon? I absolutely destroyed every team using thorn this week. Hawksaw, couvalance duty, eysoluna, inward lamp, etc...it was fun watching them try though.
