There has been a lot of salt in the forums lately regarding the lack of direction, lack of PvE content, etc. A good part of that salt has been well deserved, and player frustration has been absolutely justifiable.
Even though it's a little vague, is anyone else grateful to have some idea of what's coming up? I'll be looking forward to hearing more details about exactly what's coming up.
Unpopular as my opinion may be, I love this game. I have a lot of patience for it because I do adore it, but even I have limits to how forgiving I can be. I will admit there is so much room for improvement, but I've had over 1500 hours of fun in Destiny. I truly love it and want it to improve. Finding out they have some things in the works gives me a boost to my patience.

Extremely. Best weekly update since TTK just a bit late

Yea I'm glad that there was a mention of a road map to look forward too, especially for the PvE side of things. It really needed to be said considering the out roar from the community, but maybe they have pushed out this information as damage limitation? So I remain sceptical based on bungies frequent use of half truths and over hyping things. So we will see and make judgement once it's released. I honestly would of been happy if they were to say they are to stop working on destiny 1 to completely focus on destiny 2 and make it the game it should be. Unlike some of this community I don't need yearly instalments, maybe that's because I come from a generation where sequels used come every 2/3 years fully polished with no dlc's. Let's see what the future holds for these expansions, and how much they will cost lol

I'm with you mate. Glad to have something to look forward to.

I'm glad. All I want is communication. Some of the people on the forums spend all their time being negative, bringing everyone down, and expecting trinkets and baubles to be continuously thrown their way.

Destiny has a 10 year plan so I wasn't worried that something new was coming. But I'm glad to know what to expect. Bungie/Activision has made so much money on this franchise that it was honestly ridiculous for people to think nothing more was coming. If they don't put out new content, no one would keep going. More content will come. Rest assured. Because if it didn't, there would be a major shift. And Destiny would continue under another company

Bungie restored my optimism this morning when I read the update. I won't wait with baited breath, but I will allow Bungie the opportunity to re-engage me. Destiny 2 will live or die depending on whether the current iteration goes out with a bang or a whimper.

I'm excited for a new chunk of pve gameplay but it better be a pretty hefty chunk if a new dlc won't be here for another 4-6 months

Official confirmation of an expansion is welcome.
