  • Can't be developed for last gen consoles? It's not a matter of can/can't. It's a matter of shouldn't.

  • You have some non subjective reason why you want to persecute 'old' gen?

  • Let's start with your technical reasoning for developing for last gen consoles while not hindering the betterment of the experience for current gen console owners.

Old gen can handle everything they are developing, same as now, load times are just longer. Your turn. P.s. that doesnt affect current gen though, so...

  • What about graphical differences? Or features on the current gen platforms that are missing on the last gen platforms, such as weapon comparison/previews, vault space and touch of malice animations? The hardware differences prevent the last gen consoles from utilizing the software at its potential. They'd have to continue to under develop the game to make it playable on the last gen consoles.

  • So old gen gets a storage and processing downgrade they still allows majors functions and doesnt affect new gen in any real way. Therefore it must be thrown by the wayside?

  • Yes. Gotta trim the dead weight and focus on making the next game the best it can be. In my opinion, obviously. I appreciate and respect the devil's advocate angle you're taking though. I'm not a supporter of no child left behind.

  • Downgrading the game polishings on old gen does not harm new gen. You still have provided zero reasoning as to why old gen should be abandoned. The way destiny was programmed, it can be ran on ALL platforms without issue, ask the bungie guys who made destiny yourself. You just WANT to be an elitist.

  • The time and cost for developing on current and last gen makes the effort not worth it. The last gen consoles hold the current gen back because the last gen players pay for the same title and expect the same end result. Do 360s read Blu-ray? Is the disk space or performance equal? Network capabilities equal? Bungie had issues getting TTK to players on last gen consoles that didn't have a hard drive big enough to support it. Bungie prepared for this with characters that sync between last gen and current. Elitest? Nope. I own both consoles and they get nearly equal play time. How about you do some explaining since choice is the less favorable from a development and business perspective.
